A Research Of Pao Qiu Yue

Pao Qiu Yue is a kind of tune names of the Jiao Fang in Tang Dynasty.It produced a rich forms in the process of historical evolution.In terms of music,it has the form of tune of Tang Jiaofang,Pao Daqu,tune of Ci,team dance of Song Dynasty,and tune of Qu.In the text,there are literary forms,such as singing poetry,miscellaneous words Songs,Ci and Qu in the history of Pao Qiu Yue.Culturally,it is associated with the dance,the Jiu Ling,the customs of toss ball in the Qingming Festival,and the story of Throwing Hydrangea on a colorful buildings.Therefore,it contains rich and colorful cultural contents and forms.There are many viewpoints of the origins of Pao Qiu Yue.In my part,Pao Qiu Yue and Da Qiu Yue should be two names of the same tune.It was originally from the playing ball activities and created by Wei Zheng in the Tang Dynasty.During the period of the Tang and Five Dynasties,there were instrumental music and singing and dancing performance in the forms of Pao Qiu Yue.In terms of the form of the song,it has the form of homogeneity and the form of miscellaneous words.From the lyrics style and theme,the form of Pao Qiu Yue Ci was basically finalized by Feng Yansi in the period of the Five Dynasties.The dance of Pao Qiu Yue developed into a women's team dance in the Song Dynasty.It was created by the Song Jiaofang according to the tune and having features of stylization and immobilization.It was used for performing during the major festivals.The Pao Qiu Yue tune have appeared various forms such as Tan Po Pao Qiu Yue,ManCi,and team dance lyrics.These changes in tune directly affect the changes in the form of lyrics.Liu Yong had changed the short lyrics into a long lyrics form,which is a great significance in its development of history.The development trends of Pao Qiu Yue in the Jinyuan and Mingqing Dynasties was penetratd into the folk literature,for example,Quanzhen Taoist works for preaching in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties.In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,it became a kind of pure literary form,because it was created according to the pattern of metrical spectrum.It had graduallyintegrated into Chinese opera,as a tune,also called Cai Lou Chun.The reason for this change is closely related to the plot pattern of popular literature “Cai Lou toss ball”.Thus,Pao Qiu Yue was no longer just a simple music or dance art.It had finalized the plot in the popular literature and symbolizing the emotional desire of people to pursue autonomy in marriage and became a stereotyped cultural symbol.
