A Research On Class Consciousness Theory Of Lukacs In The History And Class Consciousness

The theory of class consciousness is one of the main topic of Lukacs' book History and Class Consciousness published in 1920 s.It is the core idea widely concerned by the theoretical circles.The purpose of this paper is to systematically explain Lukacs' theory of class consciousness,putting it in the whole history of the development process of the Marx doctrine,and to provide the beneficial enlightenment to the socialism ideology with Chinese characteristics under the background of the time of the study.Lukacs' reflection on class consciousness is directly related to the background and theoretical background at that time,especially closely connected to the practical problems and revolutionary circumstances.The analysis of the background is mainly linked with the development of capitalist commodity economy,the misdirection of the second international,the enlightenment from the victory of the October Revolution in Russia and the failure of the European proletarian revolution.The analysis of theoretical sources prevailingly interprets the influence of Hagel's philosophy,Marx's class consciousness theory and Lenin's class consciousness theory on Lukacs.It provides a comprehensive exposition of the main content of Lukacs' theory of class consciousness,from the analysis of the concept of "class consciousness",analyzes the class consciousness of history,totality and dialectics,reveals that the party organization is the carrier to achieve class consciousness and "intermediary thinking" is the way to achieve class consciousness.Lukacs utilized the theory of class consciousness as a weapon,and criticized the mechanism,reductionism and economic determinism in the second international countries,enriching and developing Marxist proletarian revolutionary theory.It is true that his theory of class consciousness is not perfect.It is necessary to treat his theoretical contribution and the limitation of theory dialectically.In terms of limitations,Lukacs' class consciousness theory exaggerates the power of class consciousness.On this basis,this paper points out the significance of his class consciousness theory in the current socialist ideological construction.The research of this paper mainly adopts the method of literature analysis and historical research.In the process of writing,adhering to the view of Lukacs' theory of social class consciousness with comprehensive,connective and developing point of view,I study his class consciousness theory in the development of his thoughts,the formation and development of the proletarian revolution and the international communist movement,not only to consider him as a successor of predecessors' thinking,but also study the effect of his theory on the future generations' thoughts.The innovation of this paper consists of two aspects: one is to make clear the "generalizability" and "subjectivity" as an important clue to understanding Lukacs "theory of social class consciousness,as well as adherence to the unity of "generalizability"and "subjectivity".Another is to persist in the research on realistic significance based on "historic viewpoint" and "dialectical methodology".
