In addition to " emotional ",there is another tradition in the development of Chinese poetry. That is "narrative" The narrative content of poetry means the description of events, characters, scenes,or life fragments, which has certain stories, plots, and the contents of the structure are designed Tang Xianzu's poems have unique narrative features. In terms of content,he inherited and developed the narrative forms of different types of poems, such as dream poems, poems of death, and poems of diary;in terms of patterns,he supplemented and developed the narrative functions of poem titles, prefaces, and notes; The techniques of "chance to know form","have changed form",space-time flow, and perspective transformation are repeatedly explored and tried in his narrative poems. From the perspective of the history of classical narrative literature,Tang Xianzu's poems focused on scene narratives as well as integrating events and emotions. The greatest feature of poetry lies in a large number of scene narrations.Unlike traditional narrative poetry, which does not hesitate to describe the complete twists and turns of the plot,he often uses scenes with rich events in a short poetic genre, using instantaneous behavior or the laying of nouns completes the picture of rich narrative meaning. And his most breakthrough achievement in narrative lies in the "expressing emotions with events",abandoning the traditional political allegory of folk narrative poetry, and putting his whole heart on the connection between "emotion" and "events".The traditional narrative poetry has been developed and innovated. Therefore, the classification and analysis of Tang Xianzu's narrative content is of great significance for understanding Tang Xianzu's mentality and even exploring the narrative change of poetry.
