Research On Tang Xianzu's Essays

Tang Xianzu's essays were created before the popularity of essays in the late Ming Dynasty,but they catered to many imaginations of the late plaintiffs and were also sought after by Lu Yunlong,Shen Jifei and others.And they were an important step in the rise of essay in the late Ming Dynasty.At the same time,Tang Xianzu's essay is an important part of Tang Wen,and it is also of great significance to have a comprehensive understanding of Tang Xianzu and his works.This article is divided into three chapters,and studies Tang Xianzu's essay from different angles,including the view about "essay" of Tang Xianzu,and the ideological direction and artistic characteristics of Tang Xianzu's essay.The first chapter is the study of Tang Xianzu's concept about "Xiaowen".However,due to the late introduction and acceptance of literary "essay",Tang Xianzu did not involve the concept of "essay" in his own works,but only "Xiaowen" with similar meaning to "essay"appeared.The study of Tang Xianzu's concept of "Xiaowen" can help clarify the influence of Tang Xianzu's essay on essay in the late Ming Dynasty.First of all,Tang Xianzu's "Xiaowen"has the characteristics of "entertaining oneself" and "seeking truth",and it is Tang Xianzu's literary concept and practice of opposing the solidification of creation and the pursuit of spirituality.Secondly,Tang Xianzu has a high evaluation of "Xiaowen".Tang Xianzu's"Xiaowen" has no stylistic restrictions,and it intersects with long text,poems and fu,which embodies Tang Xianzu's expectation of passing on to the afterlife with writing.And in comparison with "the essay of Guan ge",Tang xianzu thinks that "Xiaowen" has more infinite possibilities.Finally,comparing Tang Xianzu's "Xiaowen" with Lu Yunlong's description of"essay",we can find that Tang Xianzu's "Xiaowen" and Lu Yunlong's essay have the same meanings.The second chapter explores the ideological trend of Tang Xianzu's essays.Tang Xianzu opposed Cheng Zhu's Neo-Confucianism and pursued freedom of personality,and his literary creation showed his pursuit of "deep feelings".This is reflected not only in the promotion of"single-minded" feelings,but also in putting "feelings" first in literary creation and repeatedly imitating them in specific essay creation.At the same time,Tang Xianzu's three religions all cultivate themselves,and the "true person" he admired can integrate the teaching principles of the three religions,but he pays more attention to the "true character" and "true temperament"possessed by the "true person".At the same time,as a Confucian who cares about his family and the country,Tang Xianzu's essay also contain his expectation for the political personnel to cultivate their moral character and to be diligent and love the people,and this is reflected in the characterization of the "great man" personality.The third chapter analyzes the artistic features of Tang Xianzu's essay.First of all,Tang Xianzu's essay has won with profound insights and is characterized by Misa U A-Molu and deep emotions.Secondly,Tang Xianzu loves spiritual writings and pursues wonderful aesthetic feelings.Therefore,he attaches great importance to the "intelligence" in the creation of spiritual writing and highly praises the "unusual people" who create spiritual essay.Moreover,Tang Xianzu's essay can be used skillfully in various ways of expression,and also shows diversity in language style,which can not only express meaning smoothly,but also enhance the persuasiveness and readability of the articles.
