A Study On The Folk Characters In The Anthology Of Korean Gold And Stone

This thesis is based on the corpus of the Anthology of Korean Gold and Stone published by Korea National Academy of Sinology in 2003,which was compiled by Ren Shiquan and Li Yutai.The folk characters in Anthology of Korean Gold and Stone are the research object and the thesis also explores the characteristics and value of the inheritance of common characters.In this thesis,the folk characters in Anthology of Korean Gold and Stone are collected and organized by using the glyph of sampling and investigation methods.Also,the thesis goes into these representative folk characters in the integration by using quantitative and qualitative methods.At the same time,it also tries,from the perspective of diachrony and synchrony to analyze the differences between the folk characters in Chinese ancient literature and South Korean and to discuss the inheritance and development of the Chinese folk characters in the integration.In addition,case analysis is also utilized in this thesis to analyze the evolution forms of the folk characters and summarize the folk characters’ features,development rules and value in the integration.Chapter one is the introductory part which starts with a brief account of the research background and the previous studies of the related questions.The corpus collected in the integration is introduced and analyzed.The part also analyzes the contents methods and the innovation of the research.The related questions are also clarified in this chapter.Chapter two selects four types of typical vulgar characters,such as ‘changing phonetic symbols’,‘changing ideographs’,‘multiplying’and ‘simplifying’ to study and classify.Chapter three classifies and studies four typical vulgar characters,including ‘use ancient characters’,‘heteromorphic borrowing’,‘transformation structure’ and ‘writing variation’.Chapter four is about the comparison between integration and Chinese traditional folk characters.A number of representative common characters in integration are selected to review Chinese dictionaries of various dynasties and compare their glyphs to explore the evolution track.This paper makes a case study and interpretation of newly-built words of the Wu’s Zhou Dynasty.Chapter five gives a brief overview of the features,causes and research value of integration.In conclusion,this thesis analyzes and studies the types and features of the folk characters in the Anthology of Korean Gold and Stone dynamically and historically from the perspective of diachrony and synchrony.Comparing the folk characters in the Anthology of Korean Gold and Stone in the developing history of the Chinese folk characters is helpful to explore its rule and value.
