In 1995,under the guidance of the concept of "Let Chinese Literature toward the World",the magazine Great Master published Big Breasts and Wide Hips boldly in the fifth and sixth issues of 1995,thus starting its acceptance journey.In this year,Mo Yan won the first "Great Master-Honghe Literature Award" with a high prize by publishing Big Breasts and Wide Hips,which attracted wide attention from all walks of life and many media.The naming of the title Big Breasts and Wide Hips pushed Mo Yan to the top of the storm.With the gradual expansion of the scope of criticism and the intensification of the voice of reprimand,Mo Yan gradually lost the right of direct discourse on this work,and voluntarily asked for "banning" the work.When reviewing the history of the acceptance of this work,it is obvious that the storm of Big Breasts and Wide Hips is a public case with different opinions in the literary circles of the 1990s.However,its acceptance of "life" has not been destroyed because of it.This is a work with extremely strong vitality.Subsequently,with the help of literary critics,translators,pirated booksellers and publishers,the book not only waited for more new discoveries and explanations in literary connotation,but also became active in people's daily bookstalls,and even spread abroad.Eventually,with these unremitting efforts,the official edition of Big Breasts and Wide Hips was republished in 2002.On October 11,2012,Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize for Literature.In a sense,Big Breasts and Wide Hips has become a genuine work that Big Breasts and Wide Hips.Mo Yan's award pushed the dissemination and canonization of his works into a broader and deeper perspective,and the research and acceptance of Big Breasts and Wide Hips also reached a climax again.Compared with the divergent opinions at the beginning of its publication,the commentary voice presented a relatively harmonious and unified situation.This article regards "the present" as the time node,returns to the historical scene along the clear time vein,tries hard to restore the different expression of the acceptance style of the works in different time periods,analyses the causes of these differences from various angles,inspects the deep-seated changes of various commentary views,and by means of the acceptance study of Big Breasts and Wide Hips,strives to launch more internal development of literature.In-depth exploration of laws,aesthetic fashions and values of the times,we hope that on the basis of existing research results,we can find new materials to support our views,and hope that there will be new discoveries and academic growth points,which can provide more ideas and perspectives for the acceptance study of Mo Yan's works.The paper will be discussed in detail according to the chronological order of the acceptance of Big Breasts and Wide Hips,and the main contents will be divided into three chapters.The first chapter returns to the reception scene of Big Breasts and Wide Hips at the beginning of its publication(from September 1995 to November 1996).In this stage,the reception scene is the most complex,and the tearing betweenmvarious critical discourses is the most intense.Section 1 combs the birth process of Big Breasts and Wide Hips and explores the original intention of Mo Yan's creation,providing a reference for the "divergent opinions" of the outside world.Section 2 restores the original acceptance of Big Breasts and Wide Hips under the " Great Master-Honghe Literature Award" judges,defenders,ordinary readers and the more"Left" political critical discourse,and examines how the works are evaluated differently by three distinct groups:the "rich epic masterpieces","the vulgar failures"and "the harmful works that must be opposed".How did the evaluation affect the acceptance of "Fate" in Big Breasts and Wide Hips.Section 3 combines the background of the times,cultural psychology and the law of internal development of literature,and makes an in-depth analysis of the causes of the controversy.Chapter two tries to restore the acceptance of Big Breasts and Wide Hips from the end of 1996 to the end of 2012 when Mayan won the Nobel Prize in Literature.Section 1 combs the continuation of the "political criticism" discourse,which occupies a strong position in the previous acceptance stage,and the controversy surrounding Big Breasts and Wide Hips in the college.The second section collates the literary criticism of the novel during the period of acceptance.Under the interpretation and interpretation of Western Modernist literary theory,New Historicism and Feminism from three different perspectives,the historical narrative style of the novel has been "corrected",and the cultural and aesthetic connotations have been explored and added.The third section focuses on the publication and circulation of the novel at home and abroad.On the one hand,it aims to draw a comprehensive picture of the acceptance of the novel in the world,on the other hand,it also intends to compare with the acceptance situation at home,in order to reflect the characteristics of our literary living environment and the problems and shortcomings.Chapter three investigates the acceptance of Mo Yan's Big Breasts and Wide Hips after he won the Nobel Prize for Literature.In the first section,the author puts Big Breasts and Wide Hips under the background of "Mo Yan Research Fever" after won the Nobel Prize,and expounds its literary criticism.Section 2 gives an overview of the publication and circulation of Big Breasts and Wide Hips in this period,with the help of charts and data to display intuitively.The public's reading and acceptance of literary works are also part of the research proposition of "literary life".The author has conducted a questionnaire survey on the acceptance of Big Breasts and Wide Hips among ordinary readers.Since Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize for Literature,more and more studies have been conducted on his works.There has been no monograph on the reception of Big Breasts and Wide Hips.Under the guidance of the concept of "literary life",this paper tries to analyze the influence of the theory of "literary life" on the acceptance of Mo Yan's works in addition to the artistic characteristics of the novel itself,Mo Yan's personal experience and social development,etc.,which has been too focused by the academic circles in the past.It also concentrates on the influence of ordinary groups of different ages,educational backgrounds and occupations on Big Breasts and Wide Hips in "literary life".What kind of picture does the reading present?This paper analyses the process of acceptance in a wider scope and in a wider sense,and expects to get some enlightenment on the reading,acceptance and promotion of current literary works.Although there are different opinions about Mo Yan's award-winning works,it has to be said that there are many good works published since the 1980s,which have good linguistic skills and certain social influence.The award itself is a very important thing in the history of contemporary literature and can promote the"classicization" of contemporary works.Therefore,the acceptance,translation and overseas dissemination of Mo Yan's works are very important.The study of such issues has a vivid practical significance,which is the most important starting point of this paper.
