A Study On The Urban-Rural Differences Of Guanyun Dialect Vocabulary

After the reform and opening up,with the popularization of Putonghua(Mandarin)throughout the country,the interaction between local dialect vocabularies and that of Putonghua have increased and changed to a certain extent.However,in the background of urbanization,the boundaries between urban and rural society in China are becoming increasingly significant.It is difficult for the local dialect vocabulary to keep consistent pace with the development in urban and rural areas as being influenced by the urban and rural social environment,as well as the language environment and the language attitude of urban and rural people.Therefore,the urban-rural differences of Guanyun dialect vocabulary are inevitable along with the elapse of time.Such status is clearly reflected in the language use by urban and rural people.Taking Guanyun dialect vocabulary as an example,this paper describes and compares the changes and the current situation of application of Guanyun dialect vocabulary in cities and countryside by investigating the knowledge and usage of some inherent vocabulary in Guanyun dialect.On this basis,the differences in state and the evolution trend of Guanyun dialect vocabulary in urban and rural areas and as well as the forming reasons is discussed respectively.Understanding the difference of Guanyun dialect vocabulary between urban and rural areas will help us to reflect the evolution of dialect vocabulary in urban and rural areas under the background of urbanization "growing from point to area".This paper is divided into five chapters:Chapter ? is the introduction.This part of the paper gives a brief introduction to the human geography and dialect in Guanyun as a whole.At the same time,it explains the research status of the differences in vocabulary between Chinese dialects,Lianyungang dialect and Guanyun dialect,with the explanation regarding the basis and significance of choosing this topic for research.Chapter ? explains the investigation procedure,which mainly introduces the investigation of the content,the investigation place and the general situation of the investigation objects,and also elaborates the research methods used.Chapter ? is the introduction of the survey,which mainly compares and analyses the change and evolution trend of Guanyun dialect vocabulary in urban and rural areas.Chapter ? analyzes the causes of the differences between urban and rural vocabulary inGuanyun dialect.The difference of Guanyun dialect vocabulary between urban and rural areas is caused by the interaction of many factors,such as social environment,language environment and people's language attitude.In this chapter,all these factors are discussed in details.The last chapter is the conclusion.This chapter mainly summarizes the full text,and also puts forward some own of the author's views on how to protect Guanyun dialect.
