The Study Of Zhang Fengtai's Chang Bai Hui Zheng Lu

Changbai Huizhenglu as the first local chronicles of Changbai Prefecture was created in the second year of Xuantong Emperor and recorded the nature,geography,humanity and history of Changbai Mountain.Zhang fengtai as the writer of this book was the first Magistrate of a Changbai Prefecture,who practiced on-the-spot investigation,examined historical documents with repeated verification and finished this collection.With the help of historical documents and local chronicles,this thesis investigates the writing background,edition,content and sources of historical data,and makes a comment from the perspective of its values and mistakes.This thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The first part is chapter one: the introduction,which introduces the research purpose and significance,research status and methods.The second part is the body including chapter 2,chapter 3,chapter 4 and chapter 5.Chapter two explores the writing background information,the information about the author and the different editions.This books was completed in the Late Qing Dynasty which undertook the turmoil and suffered greatly from serious threat caused by the territorial security of the Northeast Frontier and therefore set up the Changbai Prefecture.At the same time,it detailed the life experience of Zhang Fengtai and the circulation of different editions after its publishing.Chapter three studies the recordings of natural and geographical scenes such as mountains,rivers,customs and products by Changbai Huizhenglu,and makes a contrast with the local chronicles of the same era,and analyzed its historical status and values.Chapter four studies the administrative and military construction,and explores the different situations of administrative,traffic,military and border defense before and after the establishment of Changbai Prefecture.Chapter five explores the sources of historical data and make an evaluation of them,sorts out the quoted references and investigates the historical source of unrecorded sources.Finally,it makes an objective evaluation of Changbai Huizhenglu,and points out its academic values and extant mistakes.The third part is conclusion which makes a comprehensive summary of the whole thesis.
