Research On Cultural Sights Named After Geographical Name In Changbai Mountains

As a cultural element,geographical name is also a product of the times.Its historical and cultural connotation is a direct or indirect reflection of the regional humanistic attributes.Its relationship with the natural environment is the embodiment of the human-earth relationship.In this article,the 1627 administrative places in the Changbai Mountain area are taken as the research objects,and the theory and methods of cultural geography and toponymy are taken.The theories of linguistics,sociology,and historical geography are also involved.Combining the senior ' s experience of classification of the geographical names with the principle of classification of cultural landscapes,we have obtained 5 sub-categories and 10 small categories of topography,hydrology,resources,and features in the names of natural landscape.The names of cultural and humanity landscape are divided into 7 subcategories 9 small categories--history,production,life,cognition(language,education),norms(faith,morality,and law,etc.)and society,etc.Then the distribution of the main types of geographical names is analyzed(including topographic,hydrological,allegorical,immigrant,non-removable,Manchu,and Korean).In the analysis,it is found that the Changbai Mountain area has more natural place names than the humane place names.Therefore,the relationship between geographical names and geographical environment in the Changbai Mountain area was explored macroscopically,and the differences in the distribution of geographical names between Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture(Yanbian)and Baishan City were compared on a micro level,reflecting the distribution area of the geographical names.The place names of immovable cultural relics have displayed the ancient culture of the Changbai Mountain area.The place names of historical figures have displayed the patriotic culture of the Changbai Mountain area during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.The place names of historical events have displayed the spirit of“The 4 times of defending of Linjiang City" during the liberation war in the Changbai Mountain area.The place names of immigration and the symbolic names all show the adventurous and courageous immigration spirit of the Changbai Mountain area and the non-exclusive open culture of the immigration.Manchu place names reflect the Manchu language and fishing and hunting culture.Korean place names embodyKorean language,art,and food culture.Changbai Mountain region has more natural place names than human place names.The reason that the geographical names are more than human place name originates from the fact of the unique natural resources and the formation of the ginseng culture.The spatial distribution of geographical names in Changbai Mountain reflects the establishment of settlements according to local conditions.This "unity of god and man" is derived from the worship of nature in Shaman culture and Shaman culture has become the spiritual pillar for the survival and reproduction in Changbai Mountain area.
