In recent years,China's economy has developed rapidly. And as an important part of China's economy,state-owned enterprises are in good momentum and they integrate into globalization. Many state-owned enterprises introduce advanced technology from foreign companies and push themselves to international market.Interpreting is an essential part in the process of communication between Chinese and foreign companies. The report is based on the interpreting practice the author did as an interpreter for the equipment introduction conference with GEA in Harbin Boiler Company on June23rd,2017.After a careful analysis of the interpreting practice by studying the recording and the transcription of interpreting practice, the author summarizes the major problems existing in the interpreting practice, analyzes the causes, and proposes countermeasures. The report begins with the introduction of the task description, features and its requirements. Then it describes the interpreting process including the preparation of terminology and the interpreting performance, emergency in the practice, and the author's self-evaluation and the audience feedback. And it ends with a detailed analysis of the problems,i.e.information loss, misinterpreting and improper pauses. The author analyzes the causes and proposes solutions:listening skills improving, systematic note-taking and good stress management. The author has gained a clearer understanding of consecutive interpreting through this interpreting practice. And it is hoped that the report can offer reference to the same kind of interpreting practice and help other MTI students and interpreters in their study and work.
