With the continuous development of information technology,the relationship between technology and education is becoming closer and closer.The development of education informatization requires innovation of education concept,construction of high-quality education resources and an information-based learning environment,as well as innovation of learning mode and education mode.Therefore,considering the problems of the traditional English reading teaching and the importance of the high school English reading,and the new oppotunity brought by information technology to English reading teaching,it is necessary for the first-line high school teachers to carry out flipped classroom to promote English reading teaching and improve reading interest and ability.In the era of education informatization,flipped classroom teaching mode was born.Flipped classroom refers to the transfer of the learning initiative from the teacher to the students by adjusting the time before and after the class.Compared with the traditional teaching mode,this kind of teaching mode is student-centered,exerts students' initiative,stimulates their learning interest,and increases the interaction between teachers and students.This study will apply flipped classroom teaching mode to high school English reading teaching,aiming to solve students' problems with English reading,such as slow reading,low accuracy,passive learning and lack of interest in reading.The study is based on constructivism theory,humanistic learning theory,using literature analysis,questionnaire survey method,interview method and practical approach.It combines flipped classroom and high school English reading teaching,forming a "three stages and eight steps" innovation mode,including: produce and watch video,complete specific exercises,determine the research question,group cooperation study,group results show,evaluation feedback between teachers and students,lessons after class.In the two-month teaching experiment,the author explored the application effect of flipped classroom in high school English reading teaching through questionnaire survey,score analysis,interview and other methods.The results show that,first,the "flipped classroom" teaching model is helpful to improve students' English reading ability.Second,the "flipped classroom" teaching model is useful to cultivate students' interest in English reading.Finally,according to the research situation,the author summarizes the mainfindings,shortcomings and suggestions for the follow-up research.
