Toponym is the primary cultural symbols of a region.As indicators of a regional culture,toponym not only record a certain area of the topography,hydrology,astronomical phenomena,such as natural geographical area information,also carrying the ethnic,religious,and human desire and the social economy of human geography information.All of these cultural information time reflects the local characters of natural geography environment and rich ethnic culture development and the social development of the regional culture landscape,during the specific historical period.In the vast history of the long river,toponym is too much as the vast as sea.Due to the difference of geographical environment of different regions,the place names have certain regionalism,and the cultural landscape of each place name has its own uniqueness.In the process of place names research,not only should pay attention to place characteristics,cultural characteristics,such as taking more angles of the surface-to-surface the etymology of the structure,classification and in the rational spatial distribution of in-depth research.In this paper,there are too much toponym of geography textbooks in the middle school.From the perspective of geography research,making the study on toponym of geography textbooks in detail,the classification of the etymology of mathematical statistics,the spatial distribution and toponym frequency correlation study,so as to enrich toponym study of practical application value.At the same time.It also can provide certain reference value to geography teaching in the middle school.The content of this article mainly includes the following six parts:The first part of the research purpose and meaning of toponym,toponym related research status at home and abroad,pointing out the source of this article and research methods,drawing the research framework of toponym teaching in the middle school.In the second part,the number of geographical names in middle school geographytextbooks was statistically analyzed,and the relevant charts were drawn from the two aspects of the geographical names of middle and high schools.Toponym detail structure of the etymology of the third part further classification,there are two main types of from natural and human geography environment factor analysis,and then be subdivided,and map data chart.In the fourth part,the spatial distribution of geographical names geography textbooks is studied,and two aspects are studied respectively from the source type distribution of geographical names and the distribution of textbooks.In the study of etymology type distribution,found that the natural class name by azimuth,terrestrial,hydrology,astronomical phenomena,the geographical environment factors such as the humanities class names to administrative,intend to geographical environment,construction and other elements is given priority to,producing all kinds of places,for example,at the same time analyzed the specific reason.It can be learned from the distribution of the source material of toponym that the main source of toponym is the maps and pictures in the textbooks,accounting for about 50%,which gives some reference to the geography teaching of middle schools.The fifth part focuses on the study of the correlation between the frequency of toponym and the relationship between the frequency of geographical names and their development level.Teaching material of Chinese toponym and regional economic development in our country have very big concern,especially the wide circle of a gleam of economically developed cities such as north places higher frequency,some provinces with special function of provincial frequency is higher also,such as,xinjiang and other resources in Shanxi Province.The foreign toponym selected in the teaching materials have a certain relation with their comprehensive national strength,which brings important enlightenment to the teaching of regional geography.Sixth part,from the perspective of toponym frequency analyses the teaching material distribution of toponym,toponym of teaching,and puts forward some Suggestions for practical teaching,at the same time to the Chinese and foreign place names in the college entrance examination geography exam rational research and analysis,to provide some reference for geography teaching in the middle school.
