Looking at contemporary Chinese films,they have experienced parallel interactions between globalization and localization.Mass culture and classical culture coexist in conflicts,which leads to a complex situation.In this situation,the “madness” image emerges in an endless stream and has to draw attention.It is no accident that film artists have incorporated the “madness” image into the film.This article tries to strip the mysterious yashmak of the“madness” image and divide it into the pathological and social psychology dimension according to their different characteristics.Based on their different statuses,identities,and locations,their madness roles are divided and classified in details:the clown-like,the suffering“crazy”,the wise “type,Paranoid type,"pretended crazy" type and reminiscent type.The third chapter of this paper respectively describes the characteristics of the group image from the four aspects of the definition,performance,language features and appearance characteristics.It is found that although the “madness” image styles appearing in the movie are diverse,they have external similarity and inherent stability.The unique presentation of a character can not be separated from creating a team.The perfect presentation of the "madness" image is inseparable from the director's instructions,the makeup artist's makeup design,costume designer's costumes,and the actors' own performances.Based on the external similarity and intrinsic stability factors of the "madness" image,the fourth chapter discusses the shaping mechanism of the "madness" image from three aspects: "environmental shaping","character modeling" and "performance strategy".An abounded with madness age is bound to be a morbid age.The disease system of this era is projected on the performance symptoms of “crazy” people.The madness image,no mater as the narrative function or the rhetorical function,is often entrusted with heavy responsibility by the director in the film and becomes the carrier of the expression in emotion and meaning.Chapter six of this paper explores this issue,discovers the position of the “madness” image in the movie narrative: “order and rebellion”,and is full of rhetoric functions of sarcasm,rebellion,metaphor and symbolism.However,they,most are irrational,could not escape the exiled fate during the narrative movie.The last chapter of this paper discusses the aesthetic value of the "madness" image anddiscovers the tragic nature of the "madness" image,which is full of a sublime beauty.In addition,the image of “madness” can be used in different narratives to describe in different identity,highlighting the aesthetic value of movie narratives and broadening the expression of the directors.
