With the further development of international education,the number of International teachers in Schools and universities is increasing.At present,the management of International teachers has become an important part of the international education.The excerpted translation materials in this paper are International teacher Management Manual and belongs to the applied text.Under the guidance of Text Type Theory of Reiss,this paper determines the text type and chooses the translation strategy.Through analysis,it is concluded that Text Type Theory of Reiss has positive guiding significance to the translation practice of this kind of text.Therefore,it is of practical significance to translate the International teachers' Management Manual.It plays a key role in replacing the indirect communication between the School and International teachers,guiding International teachers to standardize their work and behavior.It can not only promote the management of International teachers,but also publicize China's educational management culture and campus culture.At the same time,it can also help International teachers to better adapt to the work and life here,give full play to the subjective initiative of International teachers,so that they can better serve the teaching and scientific research development of Schools and universities,thus promoting the scientific development of China's higher education.At the same time,this paper can also be used for reference in the practical work of translators,so it is also of practical significance.In the translation report,it is divided into five chapters,which are the translation task description,the description of translation process,the text analysis process,the case study and conclusion.Case study is the main body of the translation practice report.Under the guidance of Reiss' s text typology theory,it is concluded that the original text is a combination of informative and vocative text.The translation techniques and methods,such as extension and concretization of meaning,supplement method,voice conversion,sentence splitting and integration and inverse translation.By reviewing the process of understanding the original text,the process of thinking and the translation skills embodied in the translated text,and combining with specific cases to analyze,this paper summarizes the translation skills of the regulations governing International teachers in Schools and universities,so as to provide some shallow references for future translators.
