With the progress of the times, the development of science and technology, the degree of autonomy of machines is getting higher and higher, and human beings are increasingly dependent on robots;the difference between robots and people is gradually narrowing,.The wounding incidents caused by robotic automation prompted people to start thinking about the responsibility of robots;in 2006 the EU "Electronic Man Draft" proposed to give robots"labor rights" and in 2017,Saudi Arabia awarded "female" robot Sophia citizenship;Such events have prompted people to think further about the moral status of robots.Research on the ethical and moral status of robots is imminent. Therefore, this paper attempts to explore related issues from the perspective of whether robots have moral status. This paper first defines the core concepts of robotics, weak and strong artificial intelligence, and related robotic ethics issues. It expounds the moral confusion caused by the practical application of robots and the current academic debate on the moral status of robots.Based on the clarifications of these concept, this paper further explodes and analysis the justification of moral status of robots from the perspective of ontology and relational theory. This paper argues that from the perspective of ontology, robot has typical natural attributes;in essence,it is a non-living physical device;it cannot have independent autonomy and autonomous behavior;under the surface phenomena that people see are the machine code compiled by the programmer.Regarding the rights appeal of robots,it actually is that people subjectively appeal for them. From the analysis of relational perspective of moral status of robots,we find that robots exhibit diverse social attributes, participate in social activities and can interact with human beings, representing the appearance that robots are similar to human beings. However, under the appearance is still the electronic components and chemical materials. Therefore the robots do not have an moral status.Nevertheless,With the development of robotics,it is very important to clarify the special ethical relationship between humans and robots. It is necessary to gradually construct legal norms and technical norms for the interaction between robots and human beings.
