Research On The Application Of Comedy Elements In Animation Performance

Nowadays,it is indispensable to employ exaggerated and humorous elements to raise the comedy effect in animation,which is well received by the public and drives the success in business.However,compared with foreign countries that excel in animation,China still has a big gap in the application of comedy elements in animation,especially in the character modelling,design and performance and plot arrangement.What' more,due to influence of traditional ideas and the wide appearance of animation in many areas,domestic animation focuses on catering to younger children as well as pursuing entertainment and visualization and function,impeding the development of the industry.Therefore,it is an important subject to study the application of comedy elements in the animation performance.The comedy elements are first refined based on Chen Peisi's contrast theory and characteristics of animation,followed by study on differences between live action and animation performance to explore how best to apply the comedy elements in the animation performance.Some conclusions are finally drawn through some analysis and summaries.The main tasks are conducted as follows:First,study on relation of human laugh and comedy is conducted to expound that comedy elements are the means and skills to produce comedy effect.Based on Chen Peisi's comedies and related theories,a conclusion that“contrast” is the foundation of the comedy creation is drawn.Combining the“contrast theory” and the humorous features of animation,various comedy elements suitable for animation performances are selected,including image difference,gags,quips,misunderstanding coincidence,plots and inversion.Second,according to the display of comedy elements in animation and the characteristics and differences between live action and animation performances,it can be concluded that the comic effect of different when comic elements are applied in action-action and animation performances.Finally,according to the characteristics of the animation performance and the display of comic elements in animated performance,the design ideas of applying comic elements in the character image,action,language and plot of animation performances are mentioned.Through expounding on how to employ and create comedy elements in animation performances,it will not only enhance the artistic connotation and value of animation,but also enrich its performance means.Meanwhile,it makes a scientific study on the application of comedy elements in animation performances,conducive to providing theoretical and practical reference for the creation of the animation.
