Research On Sun Chuo

Sun Chuo,one of merry figures in Eastern Jin Dynasty,his talents in literature had been more popular since his time,especially his metaphysical poetries that had changed the trace of development of historical poetry.Sun Chuo and his works will be our objectives for study in this paper.We will research his thoughts and his achievements about his literature so that we can have a deep and comprehensive understanding on his thoughts and his worksThe preface analyzes some issues on study of Sun Chuo through mainly introducing his related question and research status.And the theoretical and practical meaning about this study are introduced in the preface.There are four chapters in this paper.The first chapter presents lifetime and works of Sun Chuo.The first section contains some political backgrounds that he lives to strengthen the understanding of his character and works.In the second section,we continue to investigate the birth and death year of Sun Chuo and provides an evidence on the year through new views In the third section,the image of Sun Chuo is compared between in Shi Shuo Xin Yu and in Jin Shu.The image of Sun Chuo in Jin Shu is changed deliberately as we have analyzed.Meanwhile,we will know the development of his image from Nan to Tang Dynasty.In the fourth section,we supplement some works of Sun Chuo.His Sun De,ng Biography and others talents are also be analyzed and researchThe second chapter expounds the thoughts of Sun Chuo.We interpret his philosophical thoughts in the first three sections and his literary thoughts in the last sections.Sun Chuo was a figure who was pursuing Metaphysics and Confucianism when we have had his works and other books read.In the Confucianism and nature,he accepted some views from Zhuang Zi Zhu written by Guo Xiang.He had combined You with Wu and integrated Out with In.At the same time,with the thoughts of Buddhism assimilate into Chinese Characteristics,Sun Chuo made use of it and proposed his new thought which could be called Pole Dao that might get the feelings and object developed in their ways.His new thought was influenced by the theory of Shi Xing created by Guo Xiang.Sun Chuo maybe have a thought that named Er Jie that contain Chen Jie and Shen Jie.As long as the function of Miao arriving its pole,we can get an arrival from Chen Jie to Shen Jie.His thought of literature are mainly about Qing Wu and Wen Zhi.In Qing Wu,Sun Chuo had developed the relation of feeling and object that feeling need to be accumulated into a stable feeling and formulate an imagery of feeling.At the same time,in Wen Zhi,Sun Chuo agreed the neutralize views of Confucianism which emphasized the works need both content and form.The third chapter introduces the literary achievement of Sun Chuo.In the first section,we analyze his poetry.When his metaphysical words assert into his lyrical poetry,the poetry will become metaphysical poetry of lyric.When his feeling doesn't present in his poetry,the poetry will become true metaphysical poetry.Sun Chuo also has metaphysical poetry of scenery.When his poetry are full of scenery without metaphysical words,the poetry will become scenery poetry,which has an deep effect on the poetry of landscape idyllic.The second section will introduce his works of Cifu.We mainly analyze his You Tian Tai Shan Fu.The process that he reaches to Dao from his spiritual trip will be introduced in detail.His works of Wang Hai Fu imitates some works before him,which has little innovation.The third section will introduce his prose about monument and eulogy etc.that mainly used to praise the noble.Through his prose about monument,we can find the reason why Liu Xie criticized the characteristic of this prose.Sun Chuo narrated more dangers which the major role was faced with and processes that the major role had made a success.He highlighted the relation of the major role and him in his prose about eulogy,but it was his feeling that he would like to show.His posy resembles Fu and the posy of Tai Ping Shan is closed to the four-word landscape poetry.The fourth section focuses on his argument articles.We mainly analyzes his Jian Yi Du Luo Yang Shu.The intention of this article did not mean to know Sun Chuo's good image on courage as Jin Shu said.Sun Chuo wanted to get some fame through this article and made a choice after he had considered the pros and cons of conditions.The fifth section focuses on Sun Zi and Lun Yu Ji Jie of Sun Chuo.The contents of Sun Zi have the style of Confucianism and the style of Taoist and sometimes it merge into one style which contains Confucianism and Taoist.There are words and theories of Metaphysics and Buddhism in Lun Yu Ji Jie,but it intended to interpret and develop Confucianism so that it could be accepted by people under the political ecology at that timeThe fourth chapter focuses on the influence of Sun Chuo and metaphysical poetry on later generation.The first two sections analyze the influence of Sun Chuo's Ci Fu and poetry and his stories will be incidentally introduced at the same time.The works of You Tian Tai Shan Fu exerts an important effect on later generation,not only the imagery of a beautiful pound but also the fairyland of a spiritual tour.The famous writers such as Li Bai and Su Shi are influenced by this works.Sun Chuo's poetry has little influence on later generation because it is not adapted to the style of historical poetry.However,there are also some people like Jiang Yan that imitates his poetry,which is impressive and interesting.The third section briefly arranges the influence of metaphysical poetry on later generation.The metaphysical poetry has mainly influenced the artistic conception and justified taste of its future poetry.
