The Metaphysical View Of Nature And The Study Of Metaphysical Poetry

"Nature" is an important category in the philosophy of Wei and Jin dynasty.The invention of metaphysics has injected new vitality into it that besides the philosophical ontology,the nature has a physical directive property in it and the reference to the life ideals of literati.The literati in the Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty often have the dual-identity of metaphysician and poet.Therefore,their thoughts and inner changes must be reflected on their literary creation.This is also the argument of this paper that it uses the influence of metaphysical theory of nature on the life ideals of literati in Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty a reference,so that to study the influence of metaphysical theory of nature on the creation of metaphysical poetry.The earliest interpretation of "nature" is appearing in the Taoist philosophy,which refers to an involuntary and spontaneous state of nature.Zhuangzi has consciously developed human nature and introduced nature into intrapsychic state of human beings.The metaphysics in Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty has developed by following the idea of the Taoist philosophy and extended the theory of nature to be more comprehensive.The contradiction between fame and nature was the main problem to be solved in metaphysics from the beginning to the Western Jin Dynasty,and the relationship between them also reflects the attitudes of literati in the Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty towards ideals and reality.Wang Bi was the first to put forward the idea that "fame and religion are in line with nature".Ji Kang and Ruan Ji were more intense than Wang Bi,and they believed that nature should be left to its own course after a better name.During the period of Guo Xiang in the Western Jin dynasty,the argument became less and less popular.The literati have constant discussion back and forth,searching for an ideal world in where can inhabit their spirits.The spiritual independence and freedom become their common pursuit.The theory of metaphysics in the Eastern Jin Dynasty has not progressed,but the proposal of the new peripateticism by Zhi Xun has driven the people in the Eastern Jin Dynasty more focusing on the transcendence of their own spirits.In their daily life,the discussion of metaphysical theory and Taoist philosophy have also become a new fashion.Metaphysical view of nature's influence on the creation of poem,mainly manifested in two aspects.One is the influence on its creative content and theme,and the other is the influence on its aesthetic sentiment.The metaphysical theory of nature can relieve the spiritual weariness,driving people to pursue a spiritual realm of freedom.This spiritual pursuit of freedom is reflected in the poetry chanting immortal in the Zheng-Shi period.After the continuous creation practice of the poets in the Western-Eastern Jin Dynasty,it has developed a pursuit of liberal metaphysical personality in Eastern Jin Dynasty.Therefore,the influence of metaphysics on poetry creation is more profound.For the literati in the Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty,natural landscapes are not only an integral part of the life,but also the direct inspiration of metaphysical theory.The landscape and scenery are gradually dyed with metaphysical colors.The combination of scenery and metaphysical theory reflected on poetry demonstrates the quietism and peripateticism.The change of poetry writing content must cause the change of poetry style.The metaphysical ideals are conveyed by natural images to the poetry readers.The typological and generalized natural images and simplified writing skills have given the poetry a beauty of natural simplicity.The indifference of the poet's subject and the extraordinary interest in the poem make the poem have the beauty of indifference.The elegant poetic style and the metaphysical poetic conception have given the poetry a beauty of elegant and tranquil.
