Higashino Keigo is a famous Japanese detective novelist.Since 2008,Higashino Keigo's mystery novels have been introduced to China,and have been loved by Chinese readers,setting off the "Higashino Keigo boom".The mystery novels created by Higashino Keigo are not only complex in story,rigorous in reasoning,unexpected in suspense,but also flexible in using narrative strategies to form the unique narrative style of Higashino Keigo's works,showing the narration charm of Higashino Keigo.Based on inheriting the creative experience of his predecessors,Higashino Keigo constantly pays more attention to the design of the narrative structure of the novel,flexibly uses the narrative perspective,reorganizes the narrative time,and controls the rhythm of the narrative.At the same time,he incorporates social events into his novels to reflect social issues,which not only enriches the social space of the novel,but also demonstrates the creator's sense of social responsibility.Narratology,as an important subject in literary criticism,is the study of narrative science.Novel is the central object of narratological research.Narrative theory provides a theoretical basis for scientific understanding of narrative texts of novels by exploring the structural patterns,narrative perspectives,narrative time and space of novels.Therefore,this thesis mainly uses narratology as the theoretical basis,and combines the theory of accepting aesthetics to explore the mystery novels of Higashino Keigo,and analyzes the narrative strategies of his works to show the narrative charm of his works.This paper is divided into six parts.The introduction part mainly discusses the research background and research significance of the thesis,and reviews the current research situation of Higashino Keigo's mystery novels,and explains the research ideas and methods of this paper.Using narrative theory to study the structure pattern,narrative perspective,narrative time and space of Higashino Keigo's mystery novels is not only the interpretation of the theoretical level of his reasoning works,but also the supplement and enrichment of the narrative theory research texts.The first chapter mainly analyzes the narrative structure of Higashino Keigo's novels.First,a general overview of the narrative structure,followed by the narrative structure as the theoretical basis,combined with the specific works of Higashino Keigo,to explain the single-line structure and multi-line structure creation of his works.In the early stage of the creation of Higashino Keigo,the single-line structure was used,which was clear and the characters were few.In the middle and late period,he turned to socialist creation,and began to adopt a two-line or even multi-line structure to match the richer novel capacity.The plot is more complicated,the characters are more,and multiple clues seem to be loose and connected.The second chapter discusses the narrative perspective of Higashino Keigo's novels.The perspective is about the story from which the narrator or character is viewed.The appropriateness of the choice of perspective is related to the success or failure of the work.According to the domestic scholar Shen Dan's narrative perspective,this chapter analyzes the narrative perspective of Higashino Keigo's works from three perspectives:the omniscience perspective,the inner perspective,the omniscience perspective and the inner perspective.The effect of perspective on the text is discussed separately.Higashino Keigo is especially good at using internal perspectives.Fixed,transformative,and multiple limited perspectives are reflected in his novels.This perspective is easy to create suspense and form a puzzle.However,when scene description is necessary,when it is necessary to provide comprehensive information,the omniscience perspective will be used in a timely manner,so that the "viewing variation" is formed in combination to achieve a better expression effect.Summary,omission,scene and pause four alternate time activities,showing his ability of to control the narrative rhythm of the novel.The third chapter explores the narrative time of Higashino Keigo's novels.The novel is the art of time,and Higashino Keigo is especially good at the deformation of narrative time.Based on the theory of Genette,this chapter explores the time mechanism of Higashino Keigo's novels from three perspectives:time series,time interval and frequency.Higashino Keigo adjusted and reorganized the narrative time and broke through the linear narrative of traditional mystery novels.At the same time,using social events to hint at the story time is also the innovation of Higashino Keigo's representation of time.The fourth chapter analyzes the narrative space of Higashino Keigo's novels.The narrative space is less concerned with the narrative time.But it must be admitted that space and time together constitute the three-dimensional narrative of the novel,as well as the mystery novel.This chapter draws on the experience of different scholars in the classification of narrative space,and divides the narrative space into three major parts:geography space,social space and psychological space.Based on this theory,this paper analyzes the spatial performance and narrative function of Higashino Keigo's mystery novels.In the conclusion part,combining with the above analysis,the author makes an overall evaluation of Higashino Keigo.The application and innovation of Higashino Keigo's narrative strategy promoted the development of mystery novels and enhanced the status of mystery novels.Besides the reflection of Chinese mystery novels through the creation of Higashino Keigo should lead to the reflection and reflection of Chinese mystery writers.
