The Narration Of Higashino Keigo's Detective Novels

Since his debut in 1985,Higashino Keigo has formed and created a "realistic style" based on fully absorbed the creative experience of inference writers from variety periods.Affected by this style,the more than one hundred reasoning novels he created not only established his important position in Japanese literature,but also caused intense discussion in China and set off the trend of reasoning novels.The significant features of Higashino Keigo's reasoning novels are both rigorous and meticulous reasoning and ups and downs plots;it contains thinking about human nature as well as a critical spirit of social reality,while the basis for achieving such a unique style is the narrative technique and the narrative strategy that have been adopted by Higashino Keigo.This paper focuses on Higashino Keigo's reasoning novels,based on the text itself,combining text reading and basic narrative theory,trying to show the features and the fascination of Higashino Keigo's products.This thesis' s research content mainly contains four sections.First,proceeding from the narrative structure,based on the two aspects of plot structure and inference mode,combing and studying Higashino Keigo's inference novels in detail,summarizing his methods of setting up narrative structure and strengthening suspense in the inference novel.Second,starting from the narrative time and space,by studying the specific applications and characteristics of time sequence,frequency,physical space and unreal space in Higashino Keigo's inference novels,analyze the narrative effect of narrative time and space in his inference novels,and the important role played by narrative time and space in these products.Third,starting with the circular characters,analyzed the circular characters in Higashino Keigo's reasoning novels,study the characteristics of the circular characters in the reasoning novels as well as the research of their human nature and social depth.Finally,from the perspective of narrative,through the study of the perspectives in Higashino Keigo's inference novels,analyze the narrative effect of the multiple perspectives in his inference novels,and how Higashino Keigo uses the perspective to create suspense and strengthen reasoning.This article found through research that it was Higashino Keigo 's deep understanding of narrative theory and the flexible use of narrative techniques that created a unique “realistic style”.In his creation,Higashino Keigo used the causally connected single-line structure,the intricate multi-line structure and the three inference structures to create an unpredictable world of inference,meanwhile unleash the functions and effects of narrative time,space,circular characters and narrative perspective,integrate these narrative skills into reasoning,serve reasoning,and make the reasoning world described in his pen more colorful,real and sensible.In summary,by analyzed and studied the characteristics of the narrative structure,narrative space,narrative time,circular characters and narrative perspectives in Higashino Keigo's reasoning novels,this thesis wish to enrich the understanding of his product and creative style from a new level of narrative skills,also hopefully,this thesis could be used for exploration and contribution to the related researches,to bring creation and development of Chinese reasoning novels.
