The Problem Of Prostitution And Its Governance In Tianjin During The Republic Of China

With the social changes in the Republic of China,prostitution deformingly and unprecedentedly prospered.Tianjin was one of the typical cities in the period of the Republic of China,and the prosperity of prostitutes in Tianjin epitomized the prosperity of prostitutes throughout the Republic of China.Literature research,interdisciplinary research as the main research methods,The paper specifically investigates and analyzes the problem of prostitution of Tianjin during the Republic of China,and is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,the introduction mainly discusses the background and significance of the topic selection and the current academic research status.The second chapter first briefly introduces the emergence and development of prostitutes,and then focuses on the analysis of the prosperity of prostitutes in Tianjin during the Republic of China,including the distribution and scale,grade,composition,living conditions.The prosperity of prostitutes in Tianjin during the period of the Republic of China was the result of economy,politics,culture,prostitutes themselves and other factors,which would inevitably cause serious harm to individuals,families and society.The third chapter discusses in detail the reasons and harm of the prosperity of prostitutes in Tianjin during the period of the Republic of China.Faced with the proliferation of prostitutes,the central government,the local government and the folk of Tianjin have taken some measures to control it: the central government has upheld the concept of public prostitution as the core and the rights of prostitutes protection as the supplement through legislation,issuing orders and issuing orders for the protection of women's rights;the local government of Tianjin has administered prostitutes from the aspects of social investigation,collecting flower donations,promulgating rules,examining and curing diseases and receiving relief;with the rise of the abolition of prostitution campaign,the folk of Tianjin also has worried about the problem of prostitution.The fourth chapter of this paper discusses these measures and analyzes the effect of prostitution governance and the reasons for failure,and summarizes the experience and lessons,with a view to providing apocalypse.
