| Traditional Chinese culture is long-standing and profound.During its long-time development,Chinese traditional music,as a part of Chinese culture,is affected by the natural and human background and evolved into various local music cultures.Shaanxi,as one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization,has many unique folk music performances,such as northern Shaanxi folk songs,Qin Opera,bowl cavity,Mahu,Xi’an drum music,southern Shaanxi folk songs etc..Since the 1980 s,under the overall drive of reform and opening up,musical culture,art and professional music education have entered a new period of vigorous development.Pipa(the name of Chinese lute)music has reached a peak in the history of Chinese lute music development as well.During this period,Xi’an Conservatory of Music mainly focused on “Qin folk music”,a part of Shaanxi folk music.Qin erhu and Qin zither were on behalf of Shaanxi local music,which have achieved preliminary results and a certain influence in the field.At the same time,the development of Pipa’s creation got developed.In 1980,Mr.Yan Huichang wrote Homesickness Song.After that,from 1980 to 1999,more than 10 excellent Pipa works in Shaanxi musical style were created by performers and creative musicians represented by Ren Hongxiang and Qu Wenjun,and composers represented by Zhao Jiping and Yan Huichang.These works are the exploration of Shaanxi regional music,which greatly enriched the diversity of genres and techniques in Pipa music creation.Writer analyzes and sorts out the relevant theoretical literatures and music works of Shaanxi style Pipa music.Also,writer combs the development process of the late 20 th century Pipa art and studies the playing techniques in the process of playing Shaanxi style Pipa music.This paper summarizes the experience and collates it as the theoretical results.The paper starts with summarizing the music culture of Shaanxi in different geographical locations from a historical point of view,and explores the background of “Qin folk music” and the creation background of Shaanxi style Pipa works.The main content is to sort out the music in Shaanxi style from the formation to the promotion,then to the development and innovation.It elaborates the contribution of Ren Hongxiang and Quwenjun,two representative figures of Shaanxi style Pipa music in the field of music creation,and explores the development phenomenon of Pipa music in Shaanxi style during the 1980 s and 1990 s.Later,this paper talks about the combination of the melodic characteristics of Shaanxi music and the performance of pipa music.To be more specific,the writer analyzed four representative Pipa works(Blessing,Weishui Love,Point,and Plateau Soul)in shaanxi style that those works have used the analyzing method of music sores and the for techniques both in Shaanxi local music style.Finally,the paper summarizes the significance of the development of Pipa music in Shaanxi style and the inspiration of national music creation in the new period,especially for the creation of Pipa music works.By sorting out the development of Pipa music works in Shaanxi style,main representatives and performance techniques,this paper summarizes and studies the background,development trend and enlightenment of Pipa music at the end of the 20 th century.It contains reference value for the understanding of the development progress of Pipa art in Shaanxi style. |
