Poetry is a treasure handed down from generation to generation by the Chinese nation,carrying a very rich cultural information.It has both cultural and linguistic characteristics,and is favored by teachers of Chinese as a foreign language.It is also an indispensable teaching material in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Choosing poetry as the content of teaching Chinese as a foreign language for culture and language teaching can not only better achieve the purpose of disseminating Chinese culture,but also benefit foreign students'language learning.This paper is mainly divided into five parts:The introduction part mainly introduces the origin of the topic selection,research significance and related status quo,and analyses and summarizes the research results.The second part is the overall teaching design.Based on the previous studies,this part starts with the analysis from eight aspects:the orientation of poetry teaching,the orientation of teaching objects,teaching materials and so on.The third part connects the above,and carries out the concrete teaching design of Chinese poetry as a foreign language.Taking Acacia and Quiet Night Thoughts as examples,this paper introduces the pre-teaching plan and various links of classroom teaching from the perspective of teaching foreign students in the form of elective courses.The fourth part is teaching feedback and teaching reflection.Through the questionnaire survey and analysis of foreign students after class,it is found that although only a few of them have studied ancient poetry,most of them have a positi,ve attitude towards the study of ancient poetry.Learning through the Internet is the main way for students to learn ancient poetry.Students have a high acceptance of multimedia.They hope to use multimedia to display pictures,audio and video in teaching.The feedback from the second part of the questionnaire proves that situational approach,task-based approach and game approach are helpful to improve students' understanding and mastery of relevant knowledge.In addition,the survey found that the difficulty of foreign students' poetry learning is the study of artistic conception.Finally,in view of the teaching practice and the results of the questionnaire survey,this article carries on the reflection from three aspects:students,teachers and teaching.On the basis of reflection,this paper summarizes the whole article and puts forward suggestions and prospects for teaching Chinese poetry as a foreign language.At present,not only do more colleges and universities need to offer poetry courses for foreign students in advanced stages,but researchers should also compile targeted teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language,strengthen the scientific nature of research,select excellent poetry works suitable for teaching objects,so as to facilitate teachers to make rational use of ancient poetry as teaching content.The fifth part is the conclusion.
