Chopin is not only one of the most influential and most popular piano composers in the history of western music, but also one of the most important patriotic musicians in the history of polish music and a representative figure of music in the romantic period of 19th century in Europe. His works usually take the folk songs and dances in Poland as the theme, and at the same time, they are deeply influenced by Bach's music. They are mostly piano music.Music often reflects his strong patriotic passion, and is known as the"romantic piano poet".Originally, scherzo contains the sense of banter, but Chopin's scherzo works do not have much sense of banter, instead, they are more about melancholy and delicate feelings and resistance to the fate of life.In many cases,it is even possible to feel his feelings of ridicule and sarcasm in music.Based on the understanding of Chopin's scherzo and the subject matter of his scherzo, this paper studies and analyzes the musical structure, harmonic analysis and performance processing of Chopin's second scherzo(op.31).The research on the creative features and playing methods of Chopin's scherzo no.2 enriches the expressive force of music in performance and deepens the understanding of Chopin's creation and music in the romantic period.
