The Cognitive Processing Mechanism And Intervention Of Aftereffects Of Prospective Memory

The aftereffects of prospective memory refers to the development process of the intention that has been completed during the completion of the prospective memory task.The specific performance is the commission errors and the interference in the on going task.There are three main explanations for the cognitive processing mechanism of aftereffects of prospective memory.(1)the view of automatic is that when repeated target cues occur,the individual will automatically retrival execution intentions,leading to commission errors;(2)The view of monitoring point is that the monitoring of prospective clues by individuals in the prospective memory task will continue in the completion phase,which is a process of consuming cognitive resources;(3)The third idea of inhibition is that Failure inhibition leads to commission errors.The first two views focus on the processing of intention extraction,and the view of inhibition after extraction of the processing mechanism,so the retrieval of executive intention whether consumption of cognitive resources needed?Does suppress the intent of extraction commission errors?In this study,experiment 1 aims to explore the cognitive processing mechanism of the aftereffects of prospective memory intention and further explored the strategy of effective reduction of commission errors.Conditions in the experiment with different tasks in the influence of reaction time,namely on the investigation to the interference effect whether you need to determine the effect of before and after the intention of cognitive resources and combining the eye movement data processing procedure to do a more detailed discussion.On the basis of experiment 1,in the the experiment 2 the effect of inhibition ability in the control process is explored supporting the processing mechanism of the Aftereffects of intention.On the basis of experiment 1,2and 3 aim to further explore the effect of forgetting practice and reverse execution intention coding strategy on commission errors.The results of this study are as follows:(1)there are two possibilities of automatic processing and control processing in the occurrence of the aftereffects of prospective memory.(2)Failure to suppress results in commission errors.(3)Forgetting practices and reverse coding strategies can effectively reduce commission errors.
