Teachers are the foundation of the teaching and the source of education.In order to realize the strategic task of education modernization,the key is to build a team of high-quality professional and innovative teachers.In recent years,many teachers and teaching experts have emerged in English teaching in China,and “expert-type teachers” have quickly become the focus of our general concern.It is a kind of title when the professional level of teachers reaches maturity,which can play a leading role in the overall improvement of teachers.The key to the quality of English education lies in the professional level of teachers.However,at present,there are only a handful of expert teachers in the field of primary education in China,the benefits of classroom teaching need to be improved,and the awareness of education and scientific research is weak.Therefore,the research on the professional growth of primary school English teachers is not only the inherent requirement of teachers' professional development,but also an urgent call for expert teachers in the new era.In this study,Shijiazhuang City S primary school English W teacher was selected as a typical case to carry out narrative research,and the teacher's professional growth process was clearly presented in the form of stories.Through an in-depth observation of her educational life,listening to his growth story,the division of teachers' professional development stage,and combing the professional development of W teachers.In-depth analysis and mining of key events,to explore the influencing factors and growth paths of its professional growth.The main contents of this study are as follows:The first part: mainly includes the question,the core concept of “expert teacher,expert English teacher,teacher professional growth” and then determine the selection of research objects and clear research ideas and research methods.The second part: through in-depth interviews,collation and analysis of information,to understand the school profile and the basic situation of w teacher.From a vertical perspective,it is divided into pre-service stage,novice stage,familiar stage and expert stage to present the narrative of the professional growth of expert English teachers.The third part: From the horizontal perspective,analyze the professional developmentstatus of W teachers.She is a backbone teacher of professional knowledge,a teaching expert who blooms the art of classroom teaching and a researcher who builds a learning team.The fourth part: Exploring the influencing factors of the professional growth of primary school English teachers,and analyzing the key factors affecting the growth of W teachers from the internal and external dimensions.The fifth part: summarizing the enlightenment of the professional growth of expert English teachers.Through reviewing the development process of W teachers,the author puts forward suggestions for promoting the professional growth of English teachers.Teachers should consciously improve their lifelong learning ability;teachers temper English teaching skills in educational practice;schools strengthen school-based training;scientific research capabilities accelerate the pace of English teacher growth.This study aims to reproduce the growth path of expert English teachers in a comprehensive and three-dimensional way,and hopes to provide important theoretical guidance and practical significance for the professional growth and development of novice teachers.
