Niu Han And 80s Poetry

The 1980 s were great years for Chinese contemporary poetry.Niu Han as one of the most important poet,have witnessed the changes of poetry in the 80 s,The dual identity of poet and editor made him do a lot in this period,and there is a complex relationship with "return poets","misty poets","new generation poets".Aad Niu Han had a profound influence on poetry in the 1980 s.This paper takes the relationship between Niu Han and these groups of poems as the entry point,and combines the historical context of the 1980 s to explore the role of Niu Han in the poetry circle of this period.The first chapter of the thesis mainly focuses on the analysis of the relationship between Niu Han and "return poets" in the late 1970 s.However,as a member of the "return poets",Niu Han had a complicated relationship with this group in the early 1980 s.The common historical experience makes Niu Han present obvious identity with these poets at the beginning of his return,but due to the different cultural regulations,there is a rapid differentiation after a short convergence.This chapter takes the convergence and differentiation between Niu Han and Ai Qing as the main foothold to analyze the real situation behind the context of "historical synchronicity".The second chapter starts from "Misty Poetry Debate" and takes this important poetry event in the 1980 s as the mapping.Sorting out the connection between Niu Han and Ai Qing with "Misty Poets" such as Bei dao and Shu Ting,and combined with the public remarks made by Niu Han and Ai Qing during the "Misty Poetry Debate" and the works of "misty poets" published by Niu Han in China magazine.This paper analyzes the different positions of Niu Han and Ai Qing in the "misty poetry debate",and compared with Ai Qing's opposition,Niu Han insists on publishing “Misty Poetry” and poetry review,trying to make a fair and objective evaluation of the relevant poetry.The third chapter focuses on the communication between Niu Han and the "New Generation of Poets".Facing the "New Generation of Poets" who are opposite to Misty Poets,Niu Han still shows an inclusive and positive attitude.This chapter is mainly based on the naming of this group by Niu Han and the "1986 'exhibition of modern poetry group" planned by Xu Jingya to interpret Niu Han 's efforts in the debut and development process of "newgeneration of poets" from both theoretical and practical aspects.The fourth chapter mainly based on the discussion of the first three chapters to explore the real intention behind Niu Han's support for "Misty Poets" and "New Generation of Poets" in the 1980 s,that is,the individual's exploration of the nature of literature and the construction of "May 4th discourse".In the 80 s poetry development process,Niu Han's various moves are all from these two aspects,From the publication of "to understand and guide these young people" and "the new generation of poetry" to a large number of works of "Misty Poets" and "New Generation of Poets" published in China magazine.Niu han tries to reconstruct the dialogue between the present and the "May 4th discourse".
