Oriented from the new development in modern time,this article will take the MOOCs course World Music as the research object to discuss the feasibility and the value of the education of World Music in MOOCs by analyzing the characteristics of MOOCs's development in the new era and the current status of the Music course in MOOCs.The article will analyze the feature of teaching in MOOCs and the feature of World Music course via the method of designing this MOOC course,which includes setting the syllabus and teaching principles as well as outlining the general frame for the course.The article will make specific design to the specific teaching content by taking the unit of Viewing Music in East Asia via the Performance of the Instruments as example.The article will perform a complete design to one lesson of this course through pre-analyzing,frame constructing and script designing etc.The article will also propose the importance of applying multi-teaching modes and exchanging the thinking between teachers and learners to the development of this MOOCs course based on the prediction to the advantages and disadvantages in the teaching of this MOOCs course.
