Henan Regional Cultural Center And Museum In The Early PRC

In the early PRC,the museum,as the main cultural institution for socialist cultural propaganda and education,played an important role in the transformation and construction of socialism in China.Due to the weak material foundation,new museums are only being built where conditions permit.In 1949,there was only one museum in Henan Museum in Henan.As an important position in socialist cultural education,it is obviously impossible to effectively use the museum space to carry out educational activities.Therefore,in the vast rural areas,cultural centers replace some of the functions of the museum.At the same time,the Cultural Center carried out activities such as collection laying a material foundation for the development of Chinese museums and accumulating practical experience.This paper systematically sorts out the development and evolution of cultural centers in Henan during the early period of new China,and counts a total of 60 cultural centers in the early period of new China based on local historical materials and relevant works.During this period,the cultural center actively cooperated with various political movements and the implementation of various policies of Henan regional government,undertook some cultural administrative work,and effectively promoted the construction and development of socialist culture.In the early years of new China,the construction of museums was carried out in Henan under the background of national museum construction.It mainly includes the promulgation and implementation of the laws and regulations on cultural protection,the utilization and damage of the original buildings during the rectification process,and the construction and exhibition of the museum.The relationship between the cultural museum and the museum in the early period of new China is an attempt to make further reflection on the development history of the museum in the early period of new China from the two aspects of the evolution from the public education museum to the cultural museum and the cultural museum's auxiliary museum construction.
