Princess Wencheng, one of the women who married with the leaders of boarder areas for politics in the Tang dynasty, seems insignificant in the long history. However,in terms of state power and ideology, she wrote a very strong and colorful note in the history of the relationship between Tibetan and Han nationalities. So to speak that Wencheng became a pivotal historical figure In this era background that firmly establishing the consciousness of the Chinese nation community.I chose media memory theory to study historical figures, and selected content analysis and online interviews as the main research methods.By presenting the image of the woman vertically through media, this paper will examines the following:The first is that the difference between the image of the woman in government and non government memory subjects;second is which media are used for official and civilian memory and what are their characteristics; The last is focusing on the factors affecting media memory. In the design of content framework, the author focuses on three parts of the following. In the first part,Wencheng married the Tubo king in the Tang Dynasty for the harmony between the Tang Dynasty and the frontier,so that the Tang Dynasty and Tubo maintained a friendly relationship for a long time. The official document records the deeds of her and her relatives.Although there is no direct praise,it also presents a very positive image.Political marriage is a common means used by ancient kings to deal with the surrounding ethnic groups.Wencheng, one of the women in political marriage, was not paid attention to in the later dynasties.Until the founding of New China, she has gradually received attention as a former "Han and Tibetan messenger".As the main body of memory, the official uses different media forms to store and transmit the information of the woman at different stages.Wencheng is given different evaluations according to the different social environment and foreign policy of the regime.Under this premise, the author pays attention to the similarities and differences between the official memories of Wencheng in different periods, and examines how the state uses different media to carry out official narratives, thus selecting, strengthening and displaying the appearance of her, which affects the public. In the second part,Wencheng's life activities are concentrated in Tibet, although she is the princess of the Tang Dynasty. She is not only a historical figure who has passed away in Tibet.,but also is the object of Tibetan spiritual worship and a far-reaching cultural symbol. In this chapter, the perspective will be switched to the folk, focusing on the Tibet region where Princess Wencheng has the most activities in her life. The media carrying memory are divided into folk legends, memorial spaces that retain historical memory and plays that awaken and continue memory.Based on the memory content of Princess Wencheng in the three media, the change and value orientation of the memory of Princess Wencheng in the folk are analyzed. In the last part,no matter history or reality, whether the memory subject is government or nongovernment, there must be control factors affecting the memory content behind the generation and construction of Wencheng's^memory. This article will be one by one from internal control and external control. The official and folk memory of Princess Wencheng is not a parallel line that is irrelevant. They interact with each other in the interaction from the beginning, showing the relationship between acceptance and integration, suppression and resistance. With the different media of the times, the memory of Wencheng in the past millennium has been preserved, and the memory of the public has been reconstructed in different narrative discourses. This paper not only studies the memory function and characteristics of different media forms, but also attempts to explore the character characteristics of Princess Wencheng in the three dimensions that folk narrative and official discourse, history and reality, and memory of Han and Tibetan, and what factors affect media memory.
