Marriage of Princess Wencheng and Songtsen Gampo is a major event in the relationship between the Tang Dynasty and Tibet,and results in The Ancient Tang-Bo Road.The route of Princess Wencheng accessing to Tibet is divided into Eastern and Western lines with Shanzhou as the midpoint.It needs to cross the Yellow River twice,the first time when entering Shanzhou,the second time in Heyuan area.To discuss the route of Princess Wencheng's entry into Tibet and the Yellow River ferries,the East-West traffic and the Yellow River ferries need to be researched in the Han and Tang Dynasties.This article uses handed-down historical documents,unearthed documents,and field trips,to sorted out the main Yellow River ferries Jincheng,Zuonan,Linjin,Fenglin,Guangwu,and Yanquan,in Qinghai,Gansu during the Han and Tang Dynasties and the routes which need to cross the river through those ferries,then explores the ferries chosen by Princess Wencheng to cross the river.This paper argues that the first time that the group of Princess Wencheng crossed the Yellow River in Fenglinjin of Hezhou Northwest.They set off from Didao,crossed the Yellow River in Fenglin,northwest of Hezhou,and reached Longzhi City across the riveri,then from Longzhi to Shanzhou Shengcheng;Princess Wencheng crossed the Yellow River for the second time in Zhou Maosongke between the two lakes.In addition,this article also discusses the routes to Tibet related to the two ferries.Hopeing to find something in the research on Tang Fan ancient road.
