This practice report is based on a C-E simulated consecutive interpreting of the Documentary of Amazing China: Coordinated Development. After the practice of interpreting simulation, the author makes an in-depth analysis of the syntactic problems in the consecutive interpreting through repeated review.Amazing China is a TV documentary jointly produced by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and CCTV.It tells about the historic achievements made in China's economic and social development since the 18 th National Congress of CPC.Under the guidance of professionals with interpreting work experience, the author strictly conducts interpreting simulated practice in accordance with the relevant requirements of the interpreting practice report.Through analysis,it is found that the main factors affecting the interpreting quality are the zero-subject sentences, long and difficult sentences as well as loose sentences in the source language. Therefore, the author makes an in-depth analysis of the syntactic problems in the process of interpreting and puts forward corresponding solutions.Firstly, the thesis analyzes zero-subject sentences in C-E Interpreting and the solutions are voice conversion and information supplementation.Secondly,it analyzes the long and difficult sentences and the solutions are syntactic linearity and sentence reconstruction.Thirdly, the loose sentences are analyzed, and the solutions are combination and deverbalization. On the basis of further reflection on the mistakes and shortcomings in the practice of interpreting simulation, the author combines the theoretical knowledge and practical experience of interpreting, and improves the fluency and accuracy of interpreting with the help of interpretative theory proposed by Seleskovic and Lederer. The author hopes to provide some reference for similar texts and some help and reference for students majoring in interpretation and translation through the exploration of syntactic problems in interpreting.
