Primary school English has been undergoing exploration and innovation for over ten years,making remarkable achievements.The new curriculum standard in 2011 puts forward that "keeping a positive learning attitude is the key to the success of English learning." In the fourth part of the implementation of the new curriculum standard,it is emphasized that "according to the actual situation of students,teachers should establish teaching objectives which are conducive to the gradual improvement of students' basic language literacy and basic foreign language learning ability.This is especially key in the primary school teachers who should pay attention to cultivating the students' strong interest in learning,positive attitude towards learning,good learning habits and the creative use of language awareness.However,with teaching in the past,many teachers neglected the cultivation of students' interest in learning.As the saying goes,"a good beginning is a job half done." The primary school English teacher should grasp the lead-in part,using a few minutes to attract students' attention and interest.According to the physiological and psychological characteristics of pupils and the design of teaching materials,teachers must try their best to give full play to the initiative of pupils,encouraging them to explore actively and gaining English learning fun experience,as well as finally forming a positive learning attitude.On the basis of the current needs of primary school English education,this paper will focus on the following three issues.1.What are the problems with the lead-in in Primary English teaching?2.What causes these problems?3.How can the effectiveness of the lead-in part in primary school be improved?From this point of view,the author explores the effectiveness of the lead-in and promotes the cultivation of students' interest in learning as well as the improvement of the teaching effect.On the basis of the theory of humanistic learning and constructivism,this paper investigates students' participation in the lead-in part and what kind of lead-in part they like best.Finally,from the cognitive differences between teachers and students,this paper puts forward some useful countermeasures.This paper is from the students? view and explores the effectiveness of the lead-in part.I hope this paper can help primary teachers in the teaching English.
