Craftsmanship-The Art Decorative Design Research Of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge's Relief

The Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge is the first double-layer bridge which can be used as railway and road.The bridge was independently designed and constructed by China.It is of great significance in the history of Chinese bridges and even the history of bridges in the world.It stands out as an important achievement one of the notable landmarks in the progress of China's economic construction in the 1960 s.The Nanjing Yangtze River Bridges of great economic significance,political significance,and strategic significance in the history of Chinese bridge construction.The bridge guardrail is inlaid with 202 cast iron reliefs,the relief works on the guardrails of the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge carries national culture and contains grumous political overtones,symbolizing that China's relief memory tepped into an era of modernity.It takes an important part in the long history of Chinese decorative art design.Aiming at the current status of superficiality and lack of connotation in decorative art design works,the dissertation argues that a large part of the reason was the lack of craftsmanship.In addition,the dissertation points out the specific connotation of the craftsman spirit and studies the relief of the guardrail of the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge by a typical case analysis.The dissertation analyzed its artistic characteristics,times characteristics,and creation means,interpreting the craftsman spirit it embodies and the development of art deco design based on the craftsman spirit in a comprehensive way.Finally,the dissertation pointed out that we should not only focus on the details and quality of the design work,integrating the beliefs and spirits in order to strengthen the maturity of the design,but also construct a comprehensive value system and the standard of the industry,strengthening the transformation of consciousness,continuing the spirit of craftsmanship.Only in this way can the decoration art design achieves the long-term development.The dissertation analysed the artistic design of the relief decoration for the guardrails of the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge,leading people to revisit the Chinese ‘Red Culture' and reach a deep understanding of the cultural value,artistic value and social value of the bridge relief based on the craftsman spirit.Then,the dissertation seeks to provide some reference for the modern decorative arts and promotes further development.
