The international promotion of Chinese is developing rapidly,which attracts more international students to come to China.Due to the geographical advantages and excellent cultural environment,Dalian has attracted more Japanese students who study Chinese.In the second language teaching of them,an important topic is the Japanese students' emotional factors which cannot be ignored.Therefore,teachers have to pay attention to the students' cross-cultural adaptation.From the perspective of cross-cultural adaptation,this paper takes a survey for Japanese students in order to understand their cross-cultural adaptation in China.To be more specific,it is try to find out the factors affecting cross-cultural adaptation of students and further explore how to improve cross-cultural adaptation ability of Japanese students.In this paper,73 Japanese students from Dalian Foreign Studies University are interviewed and 4 of them are surveyed by semi-open interviews.The survey statistics are analyzed by SPSS 18.0 to study the cross-cultural adaptation of Japanese students in Dalian and the difficulty of Japanese students studying in China to adapt to cross-culture.Then,according to this result,the difficulties and causes of cross-cultural adaptation of Japanese students studying abroad are interpreted pertinently.The results show that the psychological adaptation of Japanese students is mild depression and the difficulty of social and cultural adaptation is medium.When confronted with difficulties,appropriately seeking help has a significant impact on cross-cultural adaptation.Through semi-open interviews,it is found that the main causes of difficulties for Japanese students are reduced emotional support,insufficient information support and greater difficulty in Chinese.According to the results,this study puts forward suggestions from three aspects,which are social support provided by teachers,communication platform provided by colleges and subjective initiative of foreign students.
