Textbooks are both tools for learning and resources for learning.Courses must be able to be implemented and rely on teaching materials.The curriculum reform continues to develop in depth.China is also implementing quality education.Under the guidance of the curriculum,teaching materials have also begun to diversify.In so many textbooks,how to choose and how to use them is an urgent problem to be solved.Therefore,it is necessary to scientifically analyze and evaluate the teaching materials and make appropriate choices.The main comparative analysis of the author is the Yilin version of the primary school English textbook and the PEP version of the primary school English textbook;the research methods adopted are mainly comparative research and text analysis.This paper makes a comparative analysis of the structure of the two versions of the textbook,the level of preparation,the choice of content,the way of presentation,and other aspects of the textbook structure;more importantly,the deep structure of the textbook-language knowledge and skills,emotional attitude Research on learning strategies and cultural awareness.Through comparative analysis,the advantages and disadvantages of the different textbooks in different teaching contents and unit modules are obtained,which provides suggestions for the improvement of the two versions of textbooks.It also provides some suggestions for the preparation of primary school English textbooks.The Yilin version of primary school English textbooks should be revised.The textbooks should follow the provisions of the English Curriculum Standards,increase the content of the textbooks,and expand the breadth;the design of structures,units,and sections should be flexible and flexible;the repetition rate of language knowledge should be caused.Pay attention to it,but it should also reflect the level in the arrangement;the unit and section design should consider integration,and pay more attention to the cultivation of students’ metacognitive ability.The revision of the PEP version of the primary school English textbook has also been proposed,mainly in accordance with the provisions of the "English Curriculum Standards",the appropriate reduction of the difficulty of knowledge,and the strengthening of the ability to cultivate;the design of the layout should be both concise and beautiful.More interesting.This article also gives a little insight into the improvement and writing of the two editions of the textbook.Mainly: the textbook structure should be improved according to the constructivist learning theory,pay attention to the preparation of the structure system;use the second language acquisition theory to compile the textbook,improve the content;use the prior organizer strategy to select the material of the textbook And content presentation is perfect.
