A Study Of Wang Xuezhong's Thought Of Chinese Figure Painting

As an artist who has a profound influence on contemporary art,Wang Xuezhong has made achievements in calligraphy,painting,literature and art theories.In the aspect of Chinese figure painting,from inheriting the tradition to breaking the tradition,his painting thoughts are always intertwined,integrated and developed in tradition and innovation.Keeping with the development of the times and maintaining the purity of art,Wang Xuezhong infused the national spirit into his works,showing strong national feelings and cultural self-confidence.Through the analysis of his Chinese figure painting,combining with the three periods and the environment of his art career,this paper analyzes Wang Xuezhong's figure paintings and his creative thoughts by respectively taking "inside" and "outside" two aspects as the breakthrough point.At the same time,comparing the development thread,creative techniques and creative thoughts with the "Xu Jiang system",which is representative of the development of the 20 th century figure painting,this paper tries to make an objective and accurate grasp of history and provide a typical example of the development of the figure painting in the new period.
