Respecting and developing students' subjectivity are an important basis for education and teaching reform.Related researchers have found that the most direct manifestation of students' subjectivity in class teaching activities is students' participation and performance.Class participation and performance is also the key index to affect students' learning achievement and teachers' teaching effect. Therefore, enhancing students' participation and performance in class has become an extremely important breakthrough point to achieve the goal of students' subjectivity in teaching, and also an important way to improve teachers' teaching quality and students' learning effect.Secondary vocational education is an important part of China's education.Due to the shortage of students in recent years, the competition for secondary vocational school enrollment is fierce, many schools have lowered the threshold, resulting in the decline of the quality of students. As a result, most of the students have poor entrance grades, weak basic knowledge, lack of study desire, interest and goals, lack of initiative and self-control ability. Therefore, there are various problems in the class, especially students' less participation and performance.Teachers are also under pressure because of poor teaching results, poor management and low achievement. The predicament of Japanese Teaching in secondary vocational schools is born and needs to be solved urgently. In view of this background, the author firstly combs out the relevant research ideas and conclusions of students' class participation and performance through reading a large number of literatures. On this basis, taking the Japanese majors in the first and second grades of school S as the research object, the author then discusses the students' participation and performance in Japanese class in secondary vocational schools through investigation and research, and tries to expound the participation and performance and lessons taking account of the concept of participation and performance and the theoretical basis of student participation and performance in class activities.Through questionnaires, student interviews, teacher interviews, class observation methods, this thesis obtain and integrate research data, then analyze the Japanese class participation and performance status for secondary vocational students. The specific contents of the study include the overall participation and performance, the results of each dimension of participation and performance, the differences of participation and performance in gender, grade, personality, academic performance and the reasons for choosing a Japanese major, and the relationship among behavioral participation and performance, cognitive participation and performance and emotional participation and performance.Through the analysis, this thesis finds out the influencing factors of Japanese class participation and performance of secondary vocational school students and puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies. Finally, this paper reflects on the study results and puts forward further improving suggestions. From the survey,it is found that the current situation of Japanese class participation of secondary vocational students is as follows: First, the overall participation rate of Japanese language classes of secondary vocational students is low.The cognitive engagement is the most while emotional engagement is the least. And most participation is passive or non-participative.Second,girls are more involved in behavior than boys and less involved in emotion than boys.Third, the behavioral, cognitive and emotional involvement of first-graders is higher than that of second-graders.What's more, the students with excellent performance have the highest behavioral, cognitive and emotional participation. From the survey, the top choice for behavior participation is "interested in Japanese",followed by "easy employment".The top choice for cognitive participation is "I do not learn English well,so I choose oral Japanese to start over",followed by "be interested in Japanese".The lowest choice for both behavioral and cognitive participation is "My major is chosen by my parents not myself".On the contrary, the students who choose majors purposefully have high levels of class participation. The main influencing factors of Japanese class participation of secondary vocational students are as follows: As for the school,it focuses on the management. As for the teachers,it focuses on the attraction and effect of the class. As for the students,if focuses on the learning goals, the feedback and the concentration.Based on the influencing factors, this paper puts forward the improvement strategy of Japanese class participation of secondary vocational students. As for the school, the management should be improved. As for the teachers, more teaching strategies should be enriched and the differentiated teaching should be taken. As for the students, the learning goals should be set.The results of this study have certain theoretical value and application value, and have certain enlightenment to the teaching of secondary vocational Japanese teachers and other subject teachers.
