Hong Kong corpse movies,as one of the important genre films,has been nearly half a century since begins in the 1930 s.Its birth is related closely to the Sino-Western culture,development by the mature film industry system and specific social and historical trends of Hong Kong.This paper makes a dynamic study of Hong Hong corpse movies as a kind of genre films.Within the overall framework of social culture,film industry and film art,and based on the analysis of representative movies,this paper describes the development process of Hong Kong corpse movies from germination to exploration,which took shape in the 1980 s but quickly stagnated.The main narrative features of Hong Kong corpse movies are single-line Beaded narrative structure,binary opposition character set,from tradition to modern external space and closed internal space layout.Hong Kong corpse movies focus on entertainment functions,and mainly reflected in the rivalry between humans and corpses as a game,fully develop the actor's body movements to create spectacles,and type hybridity caused by intertextuality of movie texts. |
