| Nanyang and Xuzhou in the Han Dynasty,as the emperor’s hometown,had an advantageous position in politics,economy and culture.The theme of the same and different portraits in Nanyang and Xuzhou clearly reflects the concept of life and death of the Han people and the regional character of the differences between the two places.This paper explores the Han people’s view of life and death and the different geographical features of the two places by comparing the same and differently classified stone subjects in the Nanyang and Xuzhou regions.The rise and fall time of the portrait stone tombs in Nanyang and Xuzhou is different,the identity of the tomb owner is close,and the common themes of the portrait stone are the same or different.The portrait stone tomb owner is the middle and lower class,which makes the concept of the stone in the tomb reflect similarities.However,the difference between the rise and fall of the portrait stone tomb and the subject matter of the portrait stone are different,the difference between the two places,and the difference between the two places’ concepts and customs,that is,the two places have different regional characteristics.The same subject in the portrait stone of Nanyang and Xuzhou has the image of Xi Wang Mu Fairy and the image of music and dance.The same elements in the two types of images,such as the phoenix and the peony rabbit,reflect the desire of the Han people to rise to the immortal after death.Different image elements reflect the different belief systems and regional characteristics of the two places.The two places have their own unique portrait stone images,such as the sky image of Nanyang and the water dip figure of Xuzhou.The unique image shows the difference between the belief systems of the two places and the differences in the sources of cultural acceptance.The people of the Han Dynasty generally have the concept of death as a matter of life and rising to the immortal after death.The thought of the divination ideology was also popular at the time.The influence of the old customs of Chu can not be ignored.In comparison,Nanyang is affected by this.Xuzhou is close to Shandong,and to a certain extent,it is influenced by the immortal thoughts of Qi.The combination of the above factors has created the same or different subject matter of the portraits of Nanyang and Xuzhou.The convergence and difference between the concepts and customs embodied in the portrait stone of Nanyang and Xuzhou is the epitome of the long-term existence of the Qin and Han dynasties’ efforts to promote the differences between customs and customs. |
