Study On Chinese Character Phonology Of Xixia Medical Literature In Khara-khoto

With the publication of the Russian-Tibetan Khara-Khoto Documents,the original appearance of the Khara-Khoto documents can be seen by the world.At present,the published Xixia medical documents unearthed in Khara-Khoto have 9 numbers.Professor Liang Songtao of Ningxia University collated,interpreted and studied it,and published a book entitled "A Collating Research on Khara-Khoto Medical Literatures Collected"(2015).We used the Xixia medical literature interpreted and read by Professor Liang Songtao to carry out the study of Tangut and Chinese phonology.The second chapter analyzes the initial consonant system of the dialect reflected by the phonetic Chinese characters.The third chapter analyzes the vowel system of the dialect reflected by the phonetic Chinese characters.This article is based on the glossary ofXixia medical terms unearthed in Khara-Khoto compiled by Liang Songtao.In the first chapter,we sorted out the list of Xixia medicinal materials and the list of medical prescriptions in the Glossary,and got 386 characters of Chinese characters and 285 characters of Xixia consonant,and analyzed the distribution of consonant Chinese characters in medieval phonology and in Xixia consonant,so as to check the universality and representativeness of consonant data.Although there are nine rhyme systems without the distribution of Chinese characters with opposite sounds,each rhyme system has the distribution of Chinese characters with opposite sounds.The second chapter analyzes the initials of the reflection of the dialect sound Chinese characters.The third chapter analyzesvowels reflected on the dialect sound Chinese characters.The fourth chapter summarizes the sound Chinese characters reflect the characteristics of the dialect,vowel and consonant,and through comparison with the northwest dialect of the Song Dynasty studied by Gong Huang-cheng and Li Fanwen using the book "Fanhan Heshi Zhangzhongzhu" and the northwest dialect of the Song Dynasty studied by other scholars using the Tangut-Chinese phonetic materials,it is determined that the dialect reflected in the phonetic materials is the northwest dialect of the Song Dynasty.An analysis of the phonetic features of the phonetic Chinese characters in Xixia medical literature can provide new proof materials for the construction of the northwest pronunciation of Chinese in Song Dynasty and the phonetic system of Tangut.Some conclusions drawn from the analysis and research in this paper can also reflect the changes of Chinese phonetics from the side and provide new supporting materials for studying the development and changes of Chinese phonetics.
