With the rapid development of information technology and media technology,the social environment has gradually evolved into the image era,and the visual culture makes the information communication more diversified.Graphic design is a process of combining and arranging visual elements in plane dimension.Due to the limitation of "plane" in design,many media of plane design are actively exploring from two-dimensional plane to three-dimensional space and four-dimensional time.This trend has been regarded as the latest trend by designers.At present,this form of expression is widely adopted,and has formed a preliminary definition and summary,but has not completed the construction of the theoretical system.The multi-dimensional attempt in the graphic design media is mainly based on the concept of visual graphics from two to four dimensions to promote the multi-dimensional expression process in the range of visual graphics.Three-dimensional graphic design media is quite common.For example,in the bus body advertisement,the multi-dimensional graphic design concept is used to form the multi-dimensional expression process in the visual image.This paper will take the interdisciplinary study of graphic design and many disciplines as the breakthrough point.Relying on the extension of the theory and practice of graphic design,it will deeply analyze the correlation between graphic design and the dimension of expression,and explore the origin and the historical background of the formation and continuation of multidimensional expression forms.The multi-dimensional presentation form of design elements is the core of the medium of graphic design.Analyzing the vital role of scientific and technological development in the fission of new media and the multi-dimensional change of graphic design media from multiple perspectives affirm the contemporary value of multi-dimensional development.Attaching importance to interactive experience and satisfying the emotional appeal of the public will be the development trend of modern design.Graphic design belongs to two dimensions,but the multi-dimension of graphic design media is feasible.The development of graphic design media from 2d plane to multidimensional space is limited by the instability brought by technology and market.This paper focuses on its inherent laws,causes and values,and attempts to explore its future development ideas in the existing cutting-edge multidimensional graphic design media.
