| The modal adverbs in contemporary Chinese language are one of the difficulties for learners of Chinese language due to the meaning eclipses,flexible positions and complex usage of these modal adverbs.The modal adverbs are frequently used in contemporary Chinese language and students often make errors in the process of learning.In this essay,I will take the adverbs “jing ran”,“ju ran”,“pian pian” and “pian”,which all have the meaning of “unexpected happening”,as the object of study to analyze and summarize their usage in the aspects of grammar and semantics.Meanwhile,I will take the overseas students from the senior class of Erenhot International College of Inner Mongolia Normal University as the object of study to conduct a survey on the acquisition of modal adverbs with the meaning of “unexpected happening”,analyze the results of the survey,as well as conclude the classification of the errors and analyze the cause of these errors through the study of biased errors based on the linguistic data from HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University.Finally,on the theoretical basis of teaching based on summarized word usage,I will propose some reasonable and effective teaching methods for students’ errors.There are six parts of this essay.The first part is the introduction.In this part,I will introduce the source of the topic selection of the essay and its research significance,conclude the classification of the modal adverbs,and summarize the results of the ontological research of modal adverbs with the meaning of “unexpected happening” and the results in the field of teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Finally,I will illustrate the study methods as well as the sources of the linguistic data in this essay.The second part is the analysis of the study and the errors.Through the questionnaire survey,I learned about students’ acquisition and obtain thelinguistic data of their error.Secondly,I collected the linguistic data of errors from HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University.I will make a systematic study on the acquisition errors of Chinese learners based on these two kinds of linguistic data to conclude the classification of the errors.Basically,there are four classifications,that is,disordering,wrong alternation,addition and omission.Secondly,I will analyze the cause of these errors,that is,the negative transfer of knowledge between target language and mother tongue,the complexity of ontological knowledge and the problems in the process of teaching.In the third part,I will analyze the grammatical and semantic features of the modal adverbs with the meaning of “unexpected happening” referring to the language database of contemporary Chinese language of Beijing Language and Culture University,and compare the similarities and differences of the modal adverbs on these two level as a theoretical basis of teaching.In the fourth part,I will propose some specific teaching methods based on the results of error analysis and the usage of “jing ran”“ju ran”,“pian pian” and “pian”,a modal adverb with the meaning of “unexpected happening”.These methods include formula method,comparative teaching and combination with context.The fifth part is the teaching design.In this part,I will do a detailed teaching design for “jing ran”“ju ran”,“pian pian” and “pian”.The sixth part is the conclusion.I will summarize the main content of the study and the shortcomings of this paper. |
