A Study On The Problems Of English Teaching Staff In Gaoxin District Primary School And Countermeasure

With the globalization of economy and development of information-age-based society,English,as the important information carrier,has become the most widely used international language.Therefore,the elementary English education has been highly emphasized in many countries.In China,the government has urged the English course should be included in Primary Education since 2001.Therefore,the educators' main concern falls on how to guarantee and improve the quality of English teaching in primary school.Teacher is the person who carries out the teaching process,so sufficient and qualified teachers are the key to ensure the quality of teaching.Hence,to development of English teaching staff in primary school is of great significance to improve the quality of primary English teaching.This paper,investigates the current English teaching stuff in Gaoxin District Primary School,finds out the problems in its development,analyzes the causes and then puts forward some countermeasures.First,it gives the outlook of the school and makes a detailed research on the teachers' basic information,teaching practice,research,training and development.Then,based on the analysis of the current situation of the teaching staff,the paper draws the conclusion that there exist some problems in the following aspects: the structure,the training,and the current knowledge.After that,the paper analyzes the main causes for these problems and finally raises some suggestions and measures to improve the construction of the English teaching staff,hence to push the development of primary English teaching in Baoding.
