The Influence Of Castrato On Italian Opera

Italian operas spread throughout Europe in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.It appears with brand-new appearance,won tremendous progress and development,present a flourishing picture finally.There are many reasons for the development and prosperity of Italian opera.In addition to the political and economic factors at that time,castrated singers were also an important factor to promote the development and prosperity of Italian opera.This paper mainly studies the influence of castrated singers on Italian opera and expounds it from three aspects.The first chapter takes the superb singing skills of eunuch singers as the entry point to study the influence of eunuch singers on the style of Italian opera.Chapter two takes Germany,Britain,Spain and France as examples to discuss the influence of export and travel of castrated singers on the spread and popularization of Italian opera.The third chapter will study the contribution of castrated educationists to the education of Italian opera.Through the research,we find that the castrated singers,because of their superb singing skills,make the solo voice in the opera status significantly improved.In order to meet the requirements of excellent singing skills of eunuch singers,the composer shows a passionate style of composition.After 1720,a large number of eunuchs entered Italian opera and played different gender roles.For the same role in the same opera,the gender and voice area of the actors used in each performance are not consistent,which leads to the gender and voice area selection of the opera role,which is not fixed.In an opera,a eunuch singer may play multiple roles at the same time.At the same time,because the eunuchs perform at random on the stage,their clothes are confused and they sing with conspicuous skills,which leads to the departure of Italian opera from the plot,which has a negative impact on the style of Italian opera.Although castrated singers had a negative impact on the style of Italian opera,they did not affect the love of castrated singers among the nobles and common people in European courts.Royal nobles to show their strength,many times hired eunuchs singer as important positions;In order to survive,the opera house sold more tickets to obtain a high attendance rate,and also repeatedly invited different famous castrated singers.Castrated singers played an active role in promoting the spread and popularization of Italian opera.As the age of castrated singers grows,the Italian opera stage is no longer suitable for them,so many castrated singers turn to behind-the-scenes teaching.The teaching practice of castrated singers improves the singing method of Italian operas,enriches the talent pool of Italian operas,and promotes Italian operas to usher in the "golden era" of bel canto singing.
