A Study On Compilation And Revision Of The Trial Edition Of Modern Chinese Dictionary's Technical Terms Based On The Comparison With The 7Th Edition

The paper takes the technical terms in the trial edition of 1965's Modern Chinese Dictionary(hereinafter referred to as the trial edition)as the research object.The first chapter introduces the research object and main content,the advances on the study of technical terms,the research methods,research significance.The second chapter gives a general description of the technical terms included in the trial edition,including the number of technical terms and the compilation and revision of the 7th edition of Modern Chinese Dictionary(hereinafter referred to as the 7th edition).The third chapter discusses deleted and reserved technical terms in the 7th edition.We count the number of deleted technical terms,divide deleted terminology terms into three categories: technical terms that do not conform to Modern Chinese dictionary(hereinafter referred to as Xianhan)readers,technical terms of synonym and the worthless technical terms in language.The forth chapter analyzes separation and merger of the technical terms in the 7th revision.The separation of technical terms is shown in the following: specialized terms meaning is separated from general Chinese meaning;the technical terms of different subjects are separated.The merging of the technical terms is shown in the following: the merging of specialized terms and general Chinese terms;merge two terms of the same subject into one.The fifth chapter studies the revision of the technical terms' s senseitem,including adding,deleting,dividing and merging the senseitem of this technical term.The increase of senseitem is discussed in technical terms of the number and type of the increase of senseitem.The abridgement of meaning is discussed from the quantity and type of abridgement.The separation of senses is an analysis of the situation in which a sense originally belongs to one sense is revised into multiple senses in a later version.A condition in which a term belonging to more than one term is modified to one term in a later version.The sixth chapter analyzes the revision of the definition of the technical terms.In order to express the revision of the definition more clearly,we divide the revision of the paraphrase into two parts: the revision of the main content of the definition and the revision of the parenthesis.Finally summarizes the main content of the paper.
