Narrative Folk Songs And Folk Song Narration

The research is based on field investigation and learning from the previous research achievements.On basis of his oral interview,Narrative mode,music and inheritance of narrative folk songs are researched with6 representative works selected from 100 relevant songs sung by Yidan Zhabu,a national-level inheritor.The article briefly introduces object of study and purpose of research,research status,review,research method and research thought in introduction part.Chapter one introduces the artistic career of Yidan Zhabu;chapter two covers the systematic classification of Khorchin narrative folk songs and 100 narrative ballads by Yidan Zhabu “internally” and “externally”.Different performance by Yidan Zhabu is observed in chapter three through his “narration”and “performance” of the same narrative folk song from perspective oforal performance to discuss the word-of-mouth narration of Khorchin folk songs.Chapter four takes four representative folk songs selected from100 narrative ballads performed by Yidan Zhabu as an example to discuss the artist shifting the real stories to the folk songs with artistic form through their own performance.During this process,what the inheritance,creativity and initiative of the singer are presented.Chapter five sets forth the singing of narrative folk songs and its inheritance by Yidan Zhabu under different cultural contexts.
