Two or three hundred years after the Western Jin Dynasty,Chinese society has long been in the north-south division. The Sui and Tang Dynasties are another unified dynasty since the Qin and Han Dynasties. Therefore, unifying the North and the South and avoiding splitting are issues that need to be paid attention to in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. After more than one hundred years of efforts in the early Tang Dynasty,it was completed. At present, the academic research on the southern part of the Tang Dynasty is mostly concentrated in the late Tang Dynasty. Therefore, the research on the southern society in the late Tang Dynasty has many achievements. However, from the perspective of the management of the southern region by the central government in the early Tang Dynasty, the study of the southern part of the Tang Dynasty did not pay attention to it.The Tang Dynasty was a new political power established after the peasant uprising at the end of the dynasty. Before that,it was divided for a long time since the Wei and Jin Dynasties, until the Sui Dynasty was temporarily unified, and then a large-scale peasant uprising broke out. Therefore,at the beginning of the founding of the Tang Dynasty,it was necessary to resolve these separatist forces in the South. After completing the North-South reunification,it is possible to implement management of the South and promote North-South integration.Since Sui Dynasty managed the South as a successor to Tang Ting, providing historical experience,Tang Gaozu realized the difference between the North and the South from the beginning, and adopted a management strategy that is more suitable for the South, such as adopting the name of the old county in the Southern Dynasties, and analyzing the state and county. The county and county schools, the revival of Confucianism, etc.,are precisely because of Tang Gaozu's policy of rejuvenating the country. The successor emperors are constantly committed to the integration of the North and the South, actively attracting Southern scholars to participate in the political power, engage in cultural work, and actively promote the South in the remote Lingnan area selected" Therefore,in this strong cultural atmosphere, the cultural phenomenon of “Jiangzuo Shiren” group and “Lingnan Literature” appeared in the early Tang Dynasty. As the four emperors of the Tang Dynasty constantly devoted themselves to the development of agriculture, adopted flexible tax collection methods, and vigorously cultivated water conservancy, the economy of the Tang Dynasty was continuously developed. After the "Anshi Rebellion",the national economic focus shifted to the Yangtze River basin.Regarding the management of ethnic minorities in the southern frontiers, the feudal dynasties of the past dynasties attached great importance to it.The Tang dynasty continued to recruit the ethnic minorities in the south and strengthened their management. The implementation of these ethnic policies has played an important role in the management of the southern border ethnic minorities in the later generations.Learn from the role. The management of the South in the Tang Dynasty strengthened the cultural exchanges between China's north and south, avoided the re-splitting of the country, and had a far-reaching impact on the later generations, and also made the southern region a new look. This paper is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly explains the reasons and significance of the topic selection, the research status at home and abroad, and the parts that need special explanation. The second part is to introduce the measures taken by the government in the early Tang Dynasty to the separatist forces in the south;the third part is the economic topic, which mainly analyzes the agricultural and commercial development in the southern part of the Tang Dynasty;the fourth part and the fifth part.It is an introduction to the management measures of the Southern Region from the Tang Taizong to Wu Zetian period, focusing on the management of the central region to the south from a cultural perspective. The sixth part is mainly to analyze the management methods and similarities and differences between the two generations of the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
