This paper will mainly classify and analyze the styles of Buddha statues in the city of Yecheng and the surrounding areas(now in Hebei Province)from the middle and late Northern Wei to the Northern Qi Dynasty.In recent years,the shape of Buddha clothes and robes in the statues has attracted more and more attention from Chinese and Japanese scholars.There are more or less corresponding research publications for well-known cave statues such as Yungang,Longmen,Maijishan and Xiangtangshan and the styles of Buddhas in Dunhuang murals.However,as the political center of the Eastern Wei and Northern Qi Dynasty,there is no systematic corresponding statue of Buddha clothing.At the beginning of the excavation of the Yecheng ruins and the Beiwuzhuang statue pits or without enough numbers of statues announced to support research,even if some of the images are damaged,we can still identify them,a lot of Buddhist costumes on the statues of the Northern Dynasties were sorted out and certain rules were found with the increase in the number of publications and exhibitions in recent years.The horizontal and vertical comparisons of the Buddha costume types on the Northern Dynasties in Yecheng,Xiangtangshan,Quyang,Cangzhou,Dingzhou and Jizhou will reveal that during the period from the middle and late period of the Northern Wei Dynasty to the Northern Qi Dynasty,the Northern Territory A general change in the choice of Buddha style and the choice of clothing and engraving,as well as the problems that these changes have in the Qingqi area,and the historical and cultural factors behind these changes and similarities are also explored in this paper.
