In the 21 st century,with the development of computer technology,the arrival of the information age and the improvement of people's aesthetics,Motion Graphics as a new form of expression,uses the Internet as the main communication platform,and uses mobile phones,computers,televisions,etc.as the main carriers,through the rich graphical movement effects and powerful information carrying capacity to disseminate information,thus changing people's lifestyle,communication methods and aesthetic methods.China Motion Graphics is in its infancy,its theoretical research is weak,and its handling in aspects such as modeling,style,composition,color,narrative,and transition is rather lacking.The long-established Traditional animation short film has profound theoretical research foundation and rich production methods and is deeply loved by the general public.Therefore,Motion Graphics and Traditional animation short film are two branches of animation in the field of animation,to looking for the difference between the two in terms of audiovisual expression,exploring the possibility of Traditional animation short film application on Motion Graphics has certain practical significance.By means of comparative analysis,case analysis and summary,this paper starts with five aspects of audio-visual expression: picture form,picture composition,lens la nguage,narrative mode and sound expression,which is going to summarize and resea rch the differences between motion graphics and traditional animated short films in au dio-visual expression from multiple perspectives.It puts forward to integrate the tradit ional animated short film audio-visual expression method into the motion graphics de sign.Through the combination of the traditional way and the new form,the motion gr aphics creation has better audio-visual expression and aesthetic innovation.
